Pretty hot September posts, 2-0 in MLB too, new month though, in the world of Sales we all go back to zero.
Big story today in New Orleans is the return of Alvin Kamara, a much needed injection of offensive life especially with Derek Carr going down. That'll take pressure off Jameis Winston who looks to redeem himself against his former team. Last year Jameis threw 3 pix against TB in a 20-10 loss. Then Tom Brady led another 4th quarter comeback with a last second TD on a Monday night for a Bucs 17-16 win as the Bucs swept the Saints last season.
Saints blew a 17 point lead last week in a one point loss @ GB aided by a couple long PI calls and a missed 46 yard FG with a minute left. The Bucs were embarrassed by the Eagles on Monday night, nuff said about that.
Tampa can't run the ball, Baker Mayfield isn't Tom Brady and the Bucs offense has alot to be desired. They're going up against a Saints defense, dare I say a little upset over last week's GB comeback, and who has now gone 11 straight games giving up less than 20 points. In today's NFL, that's impressive.
I like Jameis, in spite of his erratic play, his luv for Publix crab legs, ok kidding about that, I think he'll be extra motivated today against his former team. With Kamara back, budding star WR Chris Olave, and Michael Thomas, for the Bucs at CB, no Jamel Dean questions about CB Carlton Davis returning after a 2 game absence, toe/foot, gotta still wonder about that injury, Jameis could have a solid day, the parts are in place.
One of these two teams will likely win the very mediocre NFC South. I think it'll be the Saints, they'll get Carr back and in the meantime Jameis is a good NFL backup QB. Believe they're more balanced especially with the return of Kamara, you know he's itching to make up for that BS beating he and his buddies put on the one guy in Vegas, yea, not happy about that here either. Alvin, you definitely have some making up to do, he's on my fantasy team today with Olave too, FanDuel.
Saints are 8-2 ATS last 10 vs TB and while they lost both games last season they gave Tom Brady fits during his tenure in Tampa. Now they get Baker Mayfield, hmm...
I'm on the Saints today, @ home against a Bucs team with 2 wins over 2 winless teams, Chicago and Minnesota.
SAINTS -3.5, -110
As always good luck to all!
