The stars are aligning perfectly tonight for a big bet here on the Thunder.
Oklahoma City comes home after a complete disaster of a game against the shitty Pacers. Not only were the Thunder creamed 121-101, but their two best players had their worst games of the season. So far this season the Thunder have come out looking for blood after a SU loss, ringing up a 19-5 ATS record. In their last SU loss the Thunder blew a 19 point lead. They talked about how unexceptable that was after that game and they promptly came out the next game and pasted the Raptors by 28 on their home floor. This is a team full of kids who at this stage of their career truly give a shit. Very rarely does this team take a night off, they work their butts off and want to be the best. I think this is evident into how quickly they have bought into the concept of defense. They were awful defensively last year and bought into playing D from the onset of training camp. They are now one of the best defensive teams in the league and spend 90% of their practices practicing defense.
Their opponents tonight are the ancient Spurs. San Antonio has long been horrendous on the 2nd half of b2b's (although better this year at 6-7 ATS) but it doesn't get much tougher than 3 games in 4 nights after a grueling overtime game last night that resulted in a loss in which several players played over 40 minutes. The Spurs are also terrible on the road against good teams going just 3-9 ATS this year against teams with winning %'s over .600. Now it is entirely possible that Popovich rests his key guys tonight (has anyone seen Duncan playing on 0 days rest lately? It's pretty sad) but even still this will be one "star player out" angle I will not be buying into after such a bad game by OKC yesterday, I think they will be looking for blood regardless of who they play.
I think the Under is also a very strong play. The Under is 5-1 in Thunder games this year at home off a road loss, and I'm sure defense will be a priority after giving up 121 to the Pacers yesterday. The Spurs have also been Under machines in b2b road games going 7-2 this year in the 2nd of road b2b and one loss was a garbage 3 at the buzzer. They were 7-4 to the Under last year on the 2nd of b2b road games.
I know a lot of people say get lines fast before they move, and really they never move, but I think this puppy (the side) is going up.

I agree with what your saying. I just look at this line and the way OKC has played this season, it seems a little short to me. Spurs play well against OKC and like we know they're young. I feel this veteran spurs team will either show its age or show its experience. Love both coaching staff's and either spurs win or OKC covers by ten plus. Lets see which way this line moves as its going to be a favorite bet on the board.
