Miami was 1-11 last year, so this has been a huge turnaround for them. Based on what I saw in the MAC Championship game, when they beat a very good Northern Illinois team, they seem to belive in themselves, and that's good enough for me. Waiting to see if they might go from favorite to dog before betting.

I continue to believe the MAC blows. N. Ill proved me wrong in one game. Miami will be without their starting QB due to a ruptured spleen. Bottom-line I'll take the Middle Tenn squad here. Reverse line movement big here as well. This is my number one bowl play....

I know the games are coming to an end for the season but I really think I'm going to lay off this one...I honestly wouldn't know where to start with both teams. I would be kidding myself if I said I knew which side to pick. I would probably choose a side via coin toss if I were to choose
I would of liked to play on Miami OH but they loss a coach then gained a new coach only for the new coach to get fired for being an idiot so I'm basically on how this Miami team will react.

The GoDaddy.com bowl? Middle Tennessee State? This is another one of those "there's no other football game on, so everybody will watch and bet on this"......
Why wasn't this stupid game on Tuesday, and the Sugar Bowl on Thursday?!?!? At least I could have got my drink on then.....
Since I don't know all that much about the fake Miami, and even less about Middle Tennessee Whatever, I am going to use my extensive betting knowledge and expertise to deduce what would be the best bets to place, here we go.....
New head coach Don Treadwell just had his ass handed to him by Alabama - the Spartans lost 49-7 and they finished with -13 (that's minus 13) rushing yards, and the QB got sacked 5 times before he was knocked out of the game - Treadwell was the offensive coordinator, and they only managed 7 points. Think he's gonna be pumped up Thursday night standing on the sidelines cheering his new team on?
O.K. - so, he's not going to be coaching, but anyways, it's going to be some other dude that took over on 12/16 - and I'm sure he's got it all worked out, though
Also, QB Zac Dysert's out, and I'm sure he was probably going to be their only key offensive weapon
Now, knowing all of that, Miami is the "home team", Middle Whatever is 4-8 ATS, and they still get 2 points? And nearly 3/4 of the public is leaning this way?
You know what that means - Middle Tennessee wins, and covers, and it's probably going to be low scoring and ugly, so take the under, too

Dont think i'll ever get over Arkansas blowing my biggest bet of the year, sooo distraught, why couldnt they just pick up that punt block and walk in for the td, to cover the spread and get the over. what a rollercoaster game! damn Mallett, was wondering when that pick was coming! shouldnt of came to that. receivers choked big time and even the nations best tight end set up that pick w a drop, ugh. Dont know how to get over this one.

It looks like NO one has bothered to look into the game. There last 2 big wins had dyzert out and the freshman came in and won these games. Beat the best two teams in the league. Dont think the new Coach will be anything more than a box seat holder and the guy stepping in has been there as part of the team. This team is cofident, love being put into this spot as underdog. MTSU got lucky to squeak in and will turn it over. Miami stopped Temples game. I only did this little bit of checking. but it seem to be enough to sway me too Miami.
At least look at the last couple of games they played and the status of players.

Yea ARK fucked us bigtime, a small play for me, mallet...sos in a big game, seems he could only see the middle for short pass's most of the second half and the buck's made him pay!

Admittedly not knowing a ton about either team I'll just say this: MTSU lost to Memphis this year.
The Memphis football team is, perennially so bad that my step-father, who was a drum major during his time there is often quoted as saying: "why do we play football at Memphis?"
And the consensus back home (and statistically) is that this was one of THE worst years for Memphis football ever. Just take a cursory glance. They were rarely even in the red zone this season.
I just can't back a team that lost to Memphis.
I did, like B Mile High, watch that MAC championship game and was also impressed with Miami's turnaround.
I don't think there's any question, even with the controversy and the changes in the staff, that this team has the momentum. I thought Iowa would fall victim to Missouri in much the same way and they turned out to just be the better football team here.
If I bet this game, I'm betting small, and I'm taking the Redhawks.
But the game I like the most tonight, all homer-ism aside, is the Tiger basketball team getting seven at UT.

everybody is fading the MAC conference rather than looking at the teams. Good, I love it. Miami was horrible last year 1-11. They got better as the season went on beating a solid Northern Illinois team the last game of the year to win the MAC championship. They have the better QB, they have the momentum and the line on them has moved four points from -2 to +2. So I'm able to take the opening line of -2 at +150. Middle Tennessee is a worse team than Miami, I'll bet on it.

Terrible game but a lot of these reverse line movements have favored the new favorite, like illinois, fiu, syracuse, and unc. MTSU and OVER for the small

O.K. - right now the public majority consensus is still almost 3/4 on Miami, but now they get another .5 point?!?!?
This always spells trouble for the betting public, it's such an obvious trap - - if I wasn't 100% completely sold on the Middle Tenn. aspect before, now I definitely am.
