This game is way too goofy. FLa Atl can play with most teams in the country......lots of expectations on Bo out in the cornfields this year.....lots of points to cover.......Fla Atl came to Mich St last year and gave them fits before losing by 17. I don't consider Nebraska a superior team to Mich St right now......a solid team......but they have something to prove this year by taking more steps forward. I'm not playing this game because they could take a huge step forward out of the gate against the owls.....but they could also look like Mich and Notre Dame the last few years in home openers......

I think this line is very tight right now...I expect NU to roll em by 24-27, but that kid Smith is a player and will get some yards...the Husker D will be greatly improved this year (as it was last year..especially the last 6 games), but until the DB's can get a mental handle on their assignments consistantly, we will continue to see big plays made against them. As well, I expect the Huskers to be starting 2 redshirt freshman LB's and a sophomore - lots of inexperience there, but quite a bit more talent (speed, size, etc) then previous years. I do expect the Husker D line to dominate the Owl O line.....the D line will be very good this year...tight game on the number, but I am on Huskers -22 here

I'm not doubting that FAU can play up to their opponents level at times but I don't think this is one of thos times. They come into this road game with only 4 returning starters on defense that is up against a Nebraska team who showed a lot of progression towards the end of last season.
I got a feeling that Nebraska is going to start fast and early on this young FAU defense...

Not sure what we're talking about here. FL Atlantic seems to be able to play with most of the Div-1 bottom feeders, yes. But against decent teams, they have done a whole lot of nothing.
FL Atlantic scored a fat 0 against Mich St. last year. I don't care how good your defense may be, if you score 0, you lose. You can bet the Huskers won't be held to 17 points today. Last time they scored anywhere near that low was against a ranked Missouri last year.
Mich St. had some success against a very deflated Big 10 last year. The only decent teams Mich St. faced were Penn St. and Ohio St., both of which completely steamrolled the Spartans.
Kudos to Irisheyez for fishing up the one game last year that might make FL Atlantic look tolerable.
Huskers have outscored opening game opponents by an average of 30.5 points over the last 4 years, and that trend doesn't change the further back you go.
