Rice is soooooo awful, plus it's a conf. game for both. I saw the line dropping...but, I don't know bout this one. Rice secondary is non-existance, they played 1 good game at home vs. Houston..only cause they got destroyed by Houston LY and it was a revenge game.

Did you get a chance to look at Duke? They played very well vs. Navy (option) and GT w/out Nesbitt is pretty avg., no better than Navy or AF imho. GT opened at -13.5 but is currently @ -10.5.

Liking Rice +9 myself here.
The home team has gone 3-0 SU/ATS in this series outgaining the visitor by 139ypg.
Am not saying that E Carolina is not good as they do have a good offense but their DEF is a work in progress which can be burnt for big plays which will help RICE in my opinion to keep this close if not win outright.

I've seen Rice play..and they are not impressive at all. A bunch of frosh/soph on that defense/secondary - EC will go through them like swiss cheese. Just saying...

I've seen Rice play every home game this year - stay away from them my friends. I don't know if they have any enthusiasm anymore for this season. They have some talent, especially on offense, but their defense is brutal. And injuries have really mounted on them, especially at OL and LB. Plus the 2nd string QB (Cook) who led them in the second half last week at Tulane is out I believe with an injury. Now they might get their 3rd string QB back for this game - he's barely played this year due to injury but some Rice fans think he should be the starter anyway.
I'd say go with the over even though it's so ridiculously high but now I'm not so sure with that QB uncertainty.
