Kansas State is really struggling.....they have been better at home with conference wins over Baylor and Texas Tech. KSU turns the ball over a ton, they are really, really careless with the ball. They shoot FT's about as badly as anyone in the country. They don't shoot the ball particularly well from the outside. They are not as "talented" as many people believe. Aside from Pullen, they ain't got much. They may or may not have quit....they definitely quit in the 2nd half against Kansas. If they've quit that would be a shock, they've always played very hard under Martin. They play decent defense and rebound well. I really didn't like the effort I saw against Kansas. I don't think most of the players understand their roles.
Tonight they are playing a fairly efficient, disciplined and solid defensive squad in Nebraska. I think KSU has far too many weaknesses to be laying almost four baskets. Could they cover the number? Of course they could. That said, I think Nebraska has a very real chance of winning the game outright.....I'm taking the points and I feel very good about it. Kansas State is still perceived to be much better than they are...

I was typing my response as you put this up
I think we're in agreement here

I agree with this. Wally Judge was the most recent defect for Frank Martin's squad. Thats three players that have flat out quit. Add to the fact that he straight up benched Curtis Kelly for the entire second half of the Kansas game, I would say that Frank Martin has a sinking ship on his hands.
Nebraska plays tough defense, doesnt make many mistakes and Sadler is a very good game coach. Heck this team had Kansas on the ropes a couple weeks ago in Lawrence.
KStates last two home games (Baylor and Tech) were covered, however neither of those teams are very well coached and play poor team defense.
I could see a Nebraska straight up win here, but Ill stick to taking the points.
