well shit, i lied... one more from the greek since bm doesn't have 1H's out yet..
Cornell 1H -1.5-105 (3.15/3)
After looking at all their boxscores, Cornell tends to play better basketball in first halves than they do in second halves. On the other hand, Penn has made a habit of falling behind and charging back lately.... and as somebody said earlier they're playing in a potential flat spot coming off those two draining comeback overtime losses to the league powerhouses. I think we'll see a similar game tonight, hence one leg of my teaser wager being Penn +7.5 for the game.

Thoughts on Loyola MD, since I got 'em tied up for more than any other team on this card..
Situationally, I really don't see a big advantage either way, but would give the nod to Loyola MD after proving capable of starting strong out the gate to Manhattan in a similar spot coming home off a big conference road win at St. Peter's. In my opinion, this team is flying under the radar and is every bit as good as Fairfield, Iona and Rider. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they won the Metro Atlantic tourney to earn an automatic bid to the dance. If any of those aforementioned teams were playing Niagara at home, the line would be a handfull more.... so in that respect, I feel like I'm getting some value laying the 11 with the Greyhounds.
Loyola completely overmatches Niagara in the interior with 6'10 forward Shane Walker (Maryland transfer) and 6'7 forward Erik Etherly (Northeastern transfer), who both nearly average double-doubles on the year. These two have been consistent workhorses in the paint all season. Kashief Edwards, Niagara's best interior scorer and leading rebounder, is a bit undersized at 6-5. I'm hoping those extra inches in height can help alter a few shots from Edwards on the defensive end. Eric Williams has started the last eight games for Niagara to help match the opposition's size. Thought he's not much of a threat offensively, Williams has been doing a solid job crashing the glass, playing defense and eating space for the Purple Eagles. Niagara rides the play of senior guard Anthony Nelson, one of the best playmakers in the MAAC. Nelson just recorded a triple-double (10-10-14) last time out to Marist. Marvin Jordan has been coming along nicely of late, pouring in 27 and hitting 7 treys vs Marist. Jordan gives Niagara a viable third scoring option and he only stands at 5'11.
Ever since their leading scorer, senior Jamal Barney, (Providence transfer) stopped playing abount seven games back, Loyola has been playing much better "team" basketball. No doubt he could fill it up, but he consistently played unselfish basketball by taking bad shots and not looking for teammates off the dribble. His assist/turnover ratio was atrocious. Loyola is led by senior floor general, Brian Rudolph, a heady player that sets his teammates up nicely. Loyola possesses the most balanced offensive attack in the league, by far. This team has quite a bit of depth in the backcourt, especially on the wings. Soph 6-4 guard Robert Olson has posted double-digit scoring in four of his last five games and is shooting at a 44.7% clip beyond the arc on the season. Junior 6-2 guard J'hared Hall has posted double-digit scoring in nine of his last ten while shooting 41% from beyond the arc. Freshman 6-4 guard Justin Drummond has posted double-digit scoring in 5 of his last 6 games while also shooting 41% from three. Simply put, I don't think Niagara is capable of scoring with these guys and Loyola's guards are much bigger and physical. This is a matchup between the most balanced offense & consistent shooting team in the league against the most inconsistent shooting team in the league. If Niagara wants to hang tough, they'll have to get quality games from Nelson, Edwards and Jordan.
Took off work early as always on Fridays... got my trigger hand ready for those bookmaker openers here in a bit..
