Evander Kane scored his third goal at 2:57 of overtime as the Edmonton Oilers rallied for a 4-3 victory against the visiting Seattle Kraken on Wednesday night.

Kane scored twice in the final 6:32 of regulation, the latter with 46 seconds remaining and the Edmonton net empty for an extra attacker, to force overtime.

Connor McDavid scored for the second consecutive game under new coach Kris Knoblauch after an eight-game goalless streak as the Oilers won their third in a row, including a 4-1 decision Saturday at Seattle.

Goaltender Stuart Skinner made 32 saves.

Jared McCann, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Alex Wennberg scored for the Kraken, who lost their third in a row. Joey Daccord stopped 27 of 31 shots.

Kane pulled the Oilers within a goal at 13:28 of the third, tipping Evan Bouchard's pass past Daccord from just outside the top of the crease.

With Skinner pulled, the Oilers won a faceoff in the offensive zone and Leon Draisaitl's cross-ice pass found Kane open at the right post and he lifted the puck over the sprawling Daccord at 19:14.

In overtime, Kane took a pass from Zach Hyman and slapped the puck over a prone Daccord from just outside the crease.

After a scoreless first period, McDavid gave the Oilers the lead at 5:21 of the second on a three-on-two rush. Draisaitl drove the puck down the middle of the ice and, when he reached the blue line, flipped a backhanded pass to McDavid on the left wing. McDavid drove in alone on Daccord and beat the goalie with a backhander.

The Kraken responded with three goals in a span of 10:01 to pull ahead.

Seattle tied it at 7:20 of the second as Skinner tried to kick away Jordan Eberle's shot from the right faceoff circle but the rebound hit McCann in the right shin as he skated toward the net and deflected past the goalie.

The Kraken took the lead at 9:24 as Bellemare tipped Vince Dunn's shot from the left point into the net.

Wennberg scored his first of the season at 17:21 to make it 3-1. Skinner stopped Eeli Tolvanen's initial shot but Wennberg picked up the rebound just outside the left post, swung out front of the net and faked a backhander before spinning and stuffing a forehand shot past the goalie.
