My analysis
Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea square off in the final Premier League game of Saturday’s packed slate and both teams desperately need a win.
Forest sit three points clear of Luton and the final relegation spot, with just two games remaining. Luton play earlier in the day, and a loss to West Ham would mean Nottingham Forest would need a single point to secure safety. If Luton were to beat West Ham then Forest could effectively secure safety by beating Chelsea due to their goal difference.
However, the bad news for Forest is that Chelsea are in great form and still have a chance to secure European competition next season. For this reason, we are backing Chelsea to win.
Over the past five games we’ve seen Forest win just once. The victory last weekend, vs. Sheffield United might give a false sense of optimism. They can’t play like that against Chelsea, who over the past month have played as well as any other time since Mauricio Pochettino took over.
A look at recent results shows you that Chelsea have won three of their past five but the most impressive stat is that they’ve lost just once in their past 12 Premier League matches. That was a heavy defeat to Arsenal but being able to avoid defeat against half of the teams in the division is hugely impressive. It’s also impressive just how good they’ve started to look in attack. If you look at Chelsea’s past 10 Premier League games they’ve been free-scoring, bagging at least two goals in all but one game. That should concern a Forest team who have allowed more goals than all but three other teams in the league, especially when their last clean sheet was 13 games ago.
Chelsea are ending the season on a high, in their past five Premier League games they’ve scored five or more goals on two occasions, beaten local rivals Spurs and West Ham, and drew against a great Aston Villa team. Against a struggling Forest team, they are likely to continue their winning ways.

We’re also backing Nottingham Forest’s Ryan Yates to commit Over 0.5 fouls. He’s averaged 1.5 per game this season and now faces a tough task, anchoring the midfield against Chelsea’s talented attack, including the aforementioned Cole Palmer.
