It’s a two-game slate tonight on the ice and I’ve crafted my best 3-leg lottery play in my NHL picks for a pair of early games that will let playoff watchers get some needed rest heading into another full weekend of must-win games.
NHL playoffs parlay picks April 25
- Lundell Over 1.5 SOG + Nelson Uner 0.5 points + Svechnikov Over 2.5 SOG (+433 at bet365)
Best NHL parlay pick for Thursday
NHL parlay pick 1
Anton Lundell Over 1.5 shots on goal
Brock Nelson Under 0.5 points
Andrei Svechnikov Over 2.5 shots on goal
This is a pretty modest 3-legger that doesn’t need a lot to happen to cash,
Anton Lundell has been promoted to the Florida Panthers' second line with Sam Bennett has been ruled out. This is a great spot as this line with Matthew Tkachuk and Carter Verhaeghe has been the Cats’ best through two games. It’s a line that gets to the net and bangs in garbage goals, which also correlates to easier shots on net. Lundell finished the season with the same SOG/60 rates as Sam Reinhart.
Brock Nelson and the New York Islanders are in trouble in Game 3 vs. Frederik Anderson. They’re trying to rebound from their epic Game 2 where they registered just six shots on goal at 5-on-5 (12 total) in the defeat. Nelson is not insulated with great scoring talent and the Islanders generally don’t have much offensive firepower on the roster.
Andrei Svechnikov has jumped up to the Carolina Hurricanes' top line with the big boys at 5-on-5 as Seth Jarvis has been moved to the third line. The winger had six shots on net in the opener and despite a goose-egg in Game 2, still leads the team in shot attempts/60 in the postseason at a whopping 29.97 per 60. The move to the first line should give Svechnikov more shooting opportunities.
If +433 isn’t big enough for you, how about this:
NHL parlay pick 2
Brent Burns 4+ shots on goal
Verhaeghe, Tkachuk, Lundell all Over 0.5 points
Panthers-Lightning Under 6.5
Brent Burns is coming off a four-shot performance in Game 2 and the injury to fellow D-man Brett Pesce might open up some more minutes. I’m adding that to every member of Florida's second line getting a point vs. Tampa.
The Under 6.5 is giving it a decent multiplier and Florida can win this game 4-1 and that point parlay could theoretically hit in one goal. For comparison, the Sebastian Aho/Jake Guentzel/Svechnikov line to all record a point with the Under 6.5 is priced at just +475.

Our betting experts have scoured through today's NHL odds to find your best SGP bets for each of the three games on Thursday's playoff slate:
Hurricanes vs Islanders same-game parlay (SGP)
The Islanders team total and the Brock Nelson Under obviously correlate, but there is still a decent multiplier. If Carolina blanked the Islanders tonight, would it be a huge shock? Nelson plays on the second line and vs. a deep team like Carolina, even the last change won't help much to get a better matchup.
Svechnikov has the highest shooting rate of all Carolina skaters through two games, and his promotion to the top line should help him play close to 19 minutes a game, which would be about 90 to 120 seconds more than his usual role.

Panthers vs Lightning same-game parlay (SGP)
Panthers center Sam Bennett is out for at least a week with an upper-body injury, and it’ll be Anton Lundell climbing the depth chart to slot between wingers Matthew Tkachuk and Carter Verhaeghe. It’s a golden opportunity for Lundell, and he finished the season strong with four goals and two assists across the final six games of the regular season. He also picked up the helper on Verhaeghe’s game-winning goal in overtime on Tuesday.
Lundell has largely been utilized in a bottom-six gig through his first three seasons in the league, but the 22-year-old center was a first-round pick and has flashed offensive potential when given an opportunity in a scoring role. Additionally, Lundell clicked with Tkachuk and Verhaeghe for 13 attempts, six shots, and an 81.3 CF% across just 6:28 of 5-on-5 time in Game 2.
