Another week of the NBA Playoffs gets started with three games on the odds board tonight.
The Boston Celtics try to put the pesky Miami Heat on the ropes in the opening tipoff, followed by the Oklahoma City Thunder going in for the kill against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Los Angeles Lakers attempt to stave off elimination in the late game when they visit the Denver Nuggets.

Nikola Jovic Over 8.5 points

D'Angelo Russell Over 4.5 assists
Nikola Jovic saw a spike in playing time in Game 3 due to the Miami Heat’s lack of mobility in the frontcourt. At 6-foot-10, he’s the Heat’s best option in defending the pick and roll (Kevin Love and Thomas Bryant are too slow). He put up 15 points in 34 minutes and is projected for highs of 11-plus tonight.
Desperation has set in for the New Orleans Pelicans and that means C.J. McCollum will try to make things happen from downtown. The veteran guard hasn’t shot well in the series, going just 5-for-22 from distance, slimming his 3-point total. However, models are calling for three or more triples tonight.
D'Angelo Russell’s playmaking has taken a hit against the Denver Nuggets, but his potential assists are still high. He’s averaging seven potential dimes per game and had 11 in the Game 4 win, yet finished with only four actual assists. His player projections have a ceiling that surpasses seven assists in Game 5 tonight.

Kristaps Porzingis is a nightmare matchup for the Heat and their plodding frontcourt. The unicorn has scored 18 points in two of the first three games of this quarterfinal and his scoring prop for Game 4 is as low as 15.5. Models range from 16.7 to a ceiling closer to 20 points, with all projections on the other side of 15.5 O/U.
Josh Giddey had just six total assists in the opening two games versus NOLA with his minutes limited as the Oklahoma City Thunder fine-tuned their rotations. He saw 34 minutes in Game 3 and registered six dimes, which is more in line with his season average. Projections range from 4.5 to five helpers from Giddey, who is forecast for closer to 30 minutes of work tonight.
With Jamal Murray potentially sidelined for Denver tonight, Aaron Gordon can step into the pick-and-roll playbook. We’ve seen his passing role spike when Murray is out and he’s an underrated playmaker, projected for as many as 4.7 assists in Game 5.
