Bank of America ROVAL 400 pre-race favorites

Chase Elliott (+500)

Elliott floundered a bit after winning the M&M's Fan Appreciation 400 in late July. He went nine consecutive races without reaching Victory Lane — though he had a strong second-place finish at the Bass Pro Shops Night Race — before finally winning for the fifth time in 2022 last Sunday.

The 2020 Cup Series champion is the top dog entering this weekend's event and captured the checkered flag here en route to his championship two years ago. He finished 12th at the race a year ago.

Tyler Reddick (+600)

Reddick flopped at Talladega after winning in a messy race at the Texas Motor Speedway the week prior. He was the runner-up at Charlotte a year ago, which was his best finish of the year and the Cup Series playoffs.

While 2022 can certainly be considered the 26-year-old's breakout, the odds may be placing too much stock in last year's results, especially after already being eliminated from championship contention.

Kyle Larson (+800)

Larson hasn't been able to replicate his success from 2021 but he remains in contention entering the Round of 12. This is also the setting where he began his epic run a year ago on his way to claiming his first Cup Series championship.

He won at Charlotte and followed that up by claiming victory in three of the next four. He's only won two races all year, but he's been in the thick of things most times out.

How to bet on NASCAR

The most popular way to bet on NASCAR is by simply picking the winner of a race, which is also referred to as an outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, including betting on whether or not a driver will finish in the Top 3 or Top 10 of a race.

Another popular betting option is head-to-head matchup betting, where sportsbooks pair up two drivers and you choose who you think will finish better in the race, which is far easier than trying to select someone to win out of a field of approximately 40 drivers.
