Well, it was all going well till the Islanders fell flat on their face. Don't know how many times I have seen it in sports, you play not to lose and then you lose! The Isles took a 3-1 lead into the 3rd and what did they do? Uh, they had ONE, ONE shot on goal. Granted they only had 12 SOG the whole game, which in itself is pathetic. Down 2-0. What do the stats say about 1st round teams down 2-0? It says they lose 81% of the time.
Hey, hey, hey, (no not Fat Albert) but what about the Leafs? Agreed to the questioning of starting Ullmark. Swayman has owned the Leafs. Don't get that move.
Dallas? I would say that it was more of the case of Dallas beating themselves than Vegas beating Dallas. I thought the Stars dominated pace of play and possession for the most part. You can't give up 4 goals on 9 shots, I can tell you that. Loser of the first game of the series statistically has a 32% chance of winning the series.
Can't speak of the Oil, I am too old to make it that late.
No decision as of yet for tonight, but it won't be the Caps that is for sure. Thinking Bolts tie it up and it will be more of an offensive game. Don't know what to make of the Avs/Jets game as I feel Game 1 was an outlier but we will see. Leaning Avs there. In the evening game, I think Preds have a chance to tie it up. Maybe a Lippsman Split big night to get it back to normalcy.

Isles were lucky to be up 3-1 at all the way they played and how much Canes were controlling play. Shocking ending, but also indicative of why Canes are the overall Odds Faves.
3 of 4 teams up for Lippsman. Caps are a risky endeavor, and I guess I am unsure how Lipps would have defined Backstrom being out whole season as a top 6 condition. With them being down Jensen and Sandin, they are trudging uphill, and being down that many quality D prolly makes them suspect being worth +240.

Cutting through all the BS and people we never see during the season....this Tampa/Florida game is electric. Both Bob and Vas are standing on their heads the second half of the period. Concerned with Reinhart
