2025 F1 Drivers' Championship favorites

Oscar Piastri

Oscar Piastri's odds shortened to a season-low -163 following his third straight victory in Miami. Piastri was as long as +250 before the streak began.

He only had two wins in all of 2024, with the first not coming until July, so this a markedly better start to his season.

Lando Norris

Lando Norris may have opened as the betting favorite prior to the season opener, but he's been playing second fiddle to his teammate. Norris once again checked in second behind Piastri in the Miami GP.

Norris has missed the podium only once through six events. The consistent McLaren driver hasn't been longer than +200 in 2025.

Max Verstappen

The Max Verstappen roller-coaster ride continues in 2025.

Verstappen ballooned from +300 to +1200 following an off-the-board effort in the Bahrain GP, tumbled to +400 after running second in the Saudi Arabian GP, and shot back up to +800 after running fourth in Miami.

While 2024 and 2025 have been more of a struggle for Max Verstappen compared to his historic 2023 campaign, he's still a logical contender to make it five straight championships.

How to bet on F1 futures odds

The most popular way to bet Formula One futures is by simply picking the winner of the F1 World Drivers' Championship. The champion is crowned via a points system based on the final race results of each drive. While the winner is not officially given the title until the final race of the season, they can secure the championship with races remaining on the schedule.

F1 futures odds will usually look like this:

  • Lando Norris +1200

This means that on a $100 bet, you'll stand to profit $1,200 if Norris wins the Drivers' Championship. If it's close to the end of the season or one driver is simply that dominant, you might see a minus sign (-) ahead of their odds.

  • Lewis Hamilton -175

This means that you would need to bet $175 to win $100 on Hamilton winning the Drivers' Championship.
