The 2020 WNBA schedule has rounded the quarter pole and rolls into the weekend with three games on the board Saturday.

The WNBA betting action tips off at 12 p.m. ET, with Atlanta vs. Dallas. That’s followed by Phoenix vs. Seattle at 3 p.m. ET, and the finale between Chicago and Connecticut at 5 p.m. ET.

Whether you’re a fan of betting “The Dub” or just new to life inside the “Wubble”, we’re serving up our favorite WNBA free picks and predictions for August 8.

WNBA picks for today

Atlanta Dream vs Dallas Wings

If you’re running late for the opening tip of Atlanta versus Dallas, don’t sweat it too much. It’s not like you’re going to miss anything. Unless, of course, you bet on the first-quarter Under.

Both teams are giving us enough reason to place that wager. The Wings have managed an average of only 15.3 points in the opening 10 minutes of their past three outings, while the Dream haven’t been that much livelier with their first-quarter efforts, putting up just 18 per first frame in their last three showings.

Atlanta put in a valiant effort against the Seattle Storm Thursday, finishing with 92 points, but still mustered only 16 in the first quarter. We’ll protect against any second-half surges and keep this bet contained to the opening 10 minutes.

PREDICTION: First-quarter Under 41.5 (-105)

Chicago Sky vs Connecticut Sun

The letdown spot rears its ugly head for the Sun, who finally picked up their first win of the 2020 campaign against Dallas on Thursday. Connecticut, now 1-5 SU and 2-4 ATS, takes on a Chicago squad off a loss to Phoenix.

The Sky started strong against the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday but allowed them to roar back before the end of the first quarter and couldn’t recover. Chicago head coach James Wade was booted for arguing with officials, with a lopsided foul count in favor of the Mercury.

A loss to a red-hot Phoenix team shouldn’t turn bettors off the Sky, who have been one of the best teams to open the schedule. Chicago is averaging almost 87 points and knocking down more than nine 3-pointers per game on a league-high 38.6 percent shooting from deep.

The Sky are fired up after the loss to Phoenix and have covered in five straight meetings with the Sun. They'll make it six in a row Saturday.

PREDICTION: Chicago -3 (-110)

Friday's record: 1-1
Season record: 11-14
