Adam Erne scored in the fourth round of the shootout to propel the host Detroit Red Wings to a 4-3 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday.

Detroit captain Dylan Larkin, who had two assists in regulation, scored in the second round of the shootout before Joonas Donskoi answered in the third. Erne beat Philipp Grubauer (23 saves) over his glove in the fourth to put pressure on Alex Wennberg, whose bid to extend the session sailed off the mark.

Rookie Lucas Raymond, Robby Fabbri and Vladislav Namestnikov each scored a goal and defenseman Moritz Seider notched two assists for the Red Wings, who have won a season-high four in a row.

Thomas Greiss turned aside 21 shots to send Detroit to its fourth straight win at home.

Ryan Donato scored twice and defenseman Vince Dunn also tallied for the expansion Kraken, who were thwarted in their bid for the first three-game winning streak in franchise history.

Named NHL Rookie of the Month for November on Wednesday afternoon, Raymond celebrated the honor by settling the puck in the high slot before turning and wristing a shot past Grubauer. The goal, which gave Detroit a 3-2 lead at 6:30 of the third period, was Raymond's team high-tying 10th of the season and third in his last four games.

Donato, who gave Seattle a 2-1 lead late in the second period, forged a tie with 5:44 left in the third. His sharp wrist shot from the right circle beat Greiss for his fifth goal of the season.

Larkin banked a sharp-angle shot from below the goal line off Grubauer and right to Fabbri, who made no mistake from the slot to open the scoring 4:46 into the second period. The goal was Fabbri's fifth of the season and second in four games.

Dunn answered nearly six minutes later by scoring from just above the circles for his second goal of the season.

Namestnikov answered Donato's first goal by poking home a loose puck in the crease with 1:42 left in the second period. The goal was Namestnikov's eighth of the season and 99th career.
