Tucker kicks unbeaten Ravens past winless Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Justin Tucker drilled a 54-yard field goal with 1:02 remaining in the fourth quarter to lift the Baltimore Ravens to a 19-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at EverBank Field.
Blake Bortles was intercepted by linebacker Zachary Orr on the Jaguars' final possession to cap a wild finish.
Tucker's field goal, his fourth of the game, completed a frenetic final few minutes that featured a muffed punt, three interceptions and a blocked field goal attempt.
Leading 17-16 with 3:06 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Jaguars lined up kicker Jason Myers for a 52-yard attempt.
Baltimore (3-0) blocked the try to regain possession and capitalized on an opportunity to deal Jacksonville its second heartbreaking loss at home already this season.
Quarterback Joe Flacco, who earlier in the game set the franchise record with 21 straight completions, connected with Steve Smith, Kyle Juszczyk and Justin Forsett to move his team into position to win the game.
The Jaguars (0-3) still haven't proven they can do the same and now face a daunting task of possibly playing for coach Gus Bradley's job against Indianapolis next week in London.
The blocked field goal by the Ravens came after a wild string of possessions.
Baltimore led 16-14 when Devin Hester muffed a punt to give the Jaguars possession at the Ravens' 39-yard line. Jacksonville wasn't able to pick up a first down and settled for a 49-yard field goal to take a 17-16 lead with 7:37 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Flacco was intercepted on the ensuing possession when Jaguars rookie cornerback Jalen Ramsey made a diving deflection that landed in the hands of free safety Tashaun Gipson.
Bortles was intercepted by cornerback Tavon Young before Jacksonville got the ball back again when Dante Fowler hit Flacco's arm as he released a pass and linebacker Paul Posluszny came down with the fluttering pass.
Bortles finished the game 24 of 38 for 194 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions.
Flacco was 29 of 40 for 214 yards with zero touchdowns and two interceptions.
This Jaguars' performance was much more encouraging than a 38-14 drubbing handed to them by San Diego last week.
One positive was the play of Allen Robinson, who finished with seven catches for 57 yards and two touchdowns.
Robinson had totaled just nine catches for 126 yards in games against Green Bay and San Diego to begin the season, but he looked more like the player who caught 80 passes for 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns last season on Sunday.
Bortles found his favorite target for a 3-yard score during the second quarter. The pair hooked up for an 11-yard strike with Robinson in one-on-one coverage to cut Baltimore's lead to 16-14 in the third quarter.
Robinson's second touchdown grab was initially ruled incomplete before being overturned after a challenge by the Jaguars.
The crazy finish didn't overshadow what continues to be a troubling trend for the Jaguars: poor play early in games.
Bortles finished the first quarter 4 of 10 for 28 yards with no touchdowns and an interception that came on an impressive effort by Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley, who was able to corral a floater with one hand as he fell to the turf.
Bortles has now thrown a first-quarter interception in each game this season. Those three turnovers have yielded 17 points for opponents (touchdowns by Green Bay and San Diego and a field goal by Baltimore on Sunday).
In 33 career starts, Bortles has thrown twice as many interceptions (six) as touchdowns during the first quarter.
Flacco was efficient, but the Jaguars' defense was able to mostly limit any big plays.
Flacco was only able to get the Ravens in the end zone once, on a lumbering 7-yard run by the quarterback after he connected with Smith, tight end Dennis Pitta and Mike Wallace to quickly move his team down the field in the first quarter.
NOTES: Jaguars RB Chris Ivory made his debut with the team after missing the first two games of the season with what the team has called a "general medical issue," but he did little to help a stagnant ground attack. Jacksonville entered the league 30th in rushing yards per game and totaled just 48 yards on 21 carries. ... Jacksonville was playing without starting C Brandon Linder (sprained knee) and LT Kelvin Beachum (concussion). ... WR Rashad Greene returned a punt 42 yards in the second quarter to set up Jacksonville's first score. ... Flacco became the second quarterback (Aaron Rodgers) to rush for a touchdown against Jacksonville this season.
