Hard to see a total this high....   Kirk knows that NW is CONSTANTLY a juggernaught for them (no matter how up or down the Cats are).

I see the hawks grinding the clock with big Weis and the wind keeping all the passing in check.

Iowa -3; Under 52.5

Hawks game plan will be ball control, keep NW off the field. Colter has the ability to be quite dynamic but coming off an injury the rust will show early. I'm taking the under in the first half along with NW # the 4 points. Really like the first half under. I would take the under in the game but this one may be tight and I would want to protection from an OT Over or frantic 4th quarter scoring.

Is Northwestern plan on showing up again this season?  They are feeling the effects of playing a tougher schedule.    Iowa is the same way.  They look respectable one day, then can't even beat crappy teams at home the next.  I would go over 52.5 because I could see some big plays both ways in these teams show up.

Im struggling here trying to remember the last time Iowa covered a spread being favored by more than -2.5, seems all too reasonable to pick them at home with the dinner table all set getting ready to feast on some wildcat!

But...., what just a damn minute. That isn't going to happen. This game will either be neck in neck the entire way or NW blows them out really bad. Either way I have NW covering in what I believe to be by .5 in my gut. In all honesty if you really think about it based on strength of schedule Iowa should be laying more points. Thus making you believe Christmas came early and santa dropped off a gift wrapped a$$ woopin and laying small wood.

Here comes the Grinch  NW +3.5

Iowa out up a good fight against the high powered Ohio ST at their house! I see Iowa taking that same game plan(controlling the clock, and running the ball) and buckling down on defense at home against NW. Iowa ML(-175)
