Boise State is just not the Boise State you all think they are.  I don't get it...They allowed UNLV to put up some nice points...they let Wyoming put up over 30!

Ok ladies, here we go....Boise ST is one of the most consistent, opportunistic teams in the NCAA....teams they have played that had rushing quarterbacks they have smashed....Arizona is DEAD LAST in penalties in the NCAA..(can you say undisciplined)......the only game that Boise St faltered was against TCU ( a team that knows them well AND had to really get lucky in turnover town to barely beat them)....AZ St stinks away from home as well.....The "good ol' boys" get this done and then some in Vegas people.

Boise State -14 FOR THE LARGE is teh play  I am 8-2 in "for the large" posted nfl/ncaa ats this season.

Should'nt a 11-1 team be at least 19-21 pts. over a 6-6 team??

OU (9-3) opening line was -16.5 against Iowa (7-5).

What the hell is Az. State doing in a bowl game? Boise rolls by at least 24 points.

Predicted score 47- 21

because as u could see, no one respects boise, and ASU is  suppossed to be waayyy  bettterr  than the teams Boise faced in its  schedule, besides they are playing in a neutral field if this was in smurf turf this line would be 17.5 -17 , any way ---- Boise will march, milking the clock, and scoring,as boise is methodical and effective but not fast paced, may be not in every possession but in most of them, and not kicking a FG unless they are in the 30 to 35 kicking FG range and petersen might be, so they will go for it if they found themselves in most 4th down opportunities if, its a manageable yardage, as they have done the whole year boise D, can contain ASU if they keep everything infront of them and get pressure on osweiler as he is mistake prone and makes poor decisions, Boise have the advantage also in HC , Petersen wont let his team to come out flat, and will want them to finish the season the way they started, with a statement

BOISE -14

Arizona State limps into this game

Arizona State's coach is on his way out

Will Arizona State be motivated to play for their coach?  Will they be motivated to play in a small bowl after such a bad finish?

Will Boise State be motivated in this small bowl game?  Will they want to send Kellen Moore out a Big Winner?

Arizona State's only loss by 14 points was to Oregon

Boise has had trouble covering large spreads this year

Arizona State clearly played higher level of competition

I'll take my chances with a double digit dog before New Year's Day just like last night.

Arizona State +14  But only a Small Play

Newjerseystud,

I completely agree with YOU in this spot Sir!
Arizona State roster is full of PAC10/12 talent with a QB that WILL play on Sunday's.  This isn't New Mexico, UNLV or Wyoming (MWC athletes) they will be lining up against AND as Dr. Dogs stated prior to the Boise State/TCU game, "This ain't the same Boise State squad from last year."

Also, I look for a real spirited effort from the Sun Devils underclassman that will be auditioning for a starting job next year with the new coaching staff that's coming in.  With that said, put me down for
Arizona State plus the TWO Touchdown head start AND Under the Total please.  Thanks!

I'm with you Sharp. Boise will score it's points but their defense is horrible especially against the pass which that is all ASU does. Erickson is coaching in this game so people who say they "lost" their coach aren't actually accurate. That could affect them in either a positive or negative way, but the fact that Erickson is on the sideline it may be positive. I teased it ASU +21. I don't see anyone on Boise's schedule that ASU would route other than Georgia who was a different team after the Boise loss. Maybe high scoring but ASU keeps up. Remember, these players don't (shouldn't) play to cover the spread they are playing to win by a point.

Every year I tell myself to play the underdogs for the early bowl games.  Then midway through the bowl season, the favorates starts covering.

I didn't listen.  What happened so far, two dogs covered.

Final, ASU +14.5 & under 68

Ok, a week ago i was sure Boise would cover the -14.  Maybe its because i've had to go through a weeks worth of ESPN talking about the ASU QB and their "raw" talent, but now i'm starting to feel much less confident.

What i do know.  Boise's offense depends on execution.  Boise's WR's are not athletically overpowering like last year with Titus Young and Austin Pettis.  This year they are much more execution based.  Does a long layoff have an impact?  I would lean towards yes.  Boise might come out a little sluggish in the first quarter, maybe handing the ball to Doug Martin a little more in the second half of the quarter trying to get the offense going.

On ASU's side.  They are missing their most electric player on offense.  Boise DB Jamar Taylor is expected to be on the field, maybe helping out the pass D.  The pass D went downhill after Georgia because he and Gavins were injured.  The only reason they lost to TCU is because these two, Billy Winn AND Doug Martin were hurt.

Basically long story short i'm starting to lean towards the under.

68 points is a lot of points.

I'm going under 68 and i'm not going to touch the point spread.

ASU is below average on defense and is facing a Boise St offense that can beat you with the run and the pass. Boise St's Doug Martin has been solid on the ground. Kellen Moore is solid in the passing game and is pretty mobile if needed. Boise St's offensive line is top in the nation for the fewest sacks allowed.

ASU on offense should also have there hands full facing a Boise St 10th ranked scoring defense and ranked 16th overall on defense in the nation.

With that said in my opinion it's hard to see ASU stopping Boise's offense if they will struggle to get to the QB to pressure Moore into turnovers and still try to stop the run and passing attack.

Boise St first half -7.5

Over 34 first half

Aloha, good luck, and Merry Christmas to all

Guys lay off the side the money is on the total the refs will hijack this game tonight just like they did w/TCU almost costing them the game the refs will make sure this game stays close the deciding factor will be 7 points BS will either win by 21 points or 14 points or less giving AZST the back door cover could go either way refs like to show case their talents during the bowl games especially against the favorites laying big wood. BS is the right side of the game although the right side of the game doesn't always make you money sometimes you can be on the right side and  you lose. If you want a safe bet take the 3rd quarter in progress go OVER you'll have to move quickly 2 minutes to get it in bet the farm on it it will be the fastest money you ever made in your life time. Good luck everyone I have to go down to the sports book at the MGM Grand place my wager then i'm headed over to Sam Boyd stadium i'll be on the field behind BS bench.
