Well said, atlas. Have you ever tried to intrest a friend to the sport? Do you realize how hard it is to teach the complexities? I mean I can teach somebody how to play blackjack in 5 minutes. A slot machine would take a few seconds. But racing is difficult! My friend will look at the screen and ask: "What do all those numbers mean?" Or "How do I pick a winner?" Is there any bookie who won't take racing? They might not take trifecta bets, but they love taking WPS bets. I love racing but can't stand losing most of the time. Hope to hear from others . . .
regarding someone else - yes I went to philly park many times with my best friend who grew up there and still lives there. in fact he claims he has a major bachelor party in vegas for his wedding planned in january but we shall see. i have tried to explain it to him. when together in a betting joint he just zooms in on all the tvs and looks to bet every track and get as much action as possible. he is quite astute at baseball betting because i know he tells me the truth and tells me all the times he is buried and all of the hot streaks showing me the plays before the games. i am better than him at football although he doesn't want to believe that. tried to introduce it to my dad when Curlin was heading to arcadia for the classic but it was chilly same as my relationship with him. they put me in the HOF for high school in november he'll prolly heckle me anyways.
my most knowledgeable "partner" in playing other than people here is likely wifey. she can pick them decently but she always plays an exotic looking for prices. the classic "if i win i want to win big" player. i mean how can i complain if we go to arcadia and she is thrilled with a couple hundred bucks and flirts with g stephens and gets raffy to take pictures with her (raffy is very nice guy will take pics with any fan but wifey always seems to get a snuggle hug).
to your main point: this game should target investor guys like myself. i have numerous investor associates (not friends - associates) but they are too cool for school but if they saw the puzzle and the challenge and the thrill . . . they would not be able to resist. i am not going to beg them to join.
