Need to sift through my card from yesterday to accurately update my record. I posted Maryland as a 2H play, but accidentally bet NW....never had I made that mistake. Probably won't count it as a win or loss here, even though my pockets feel light.
1. Illinois 1H +9(-110) *1.50/1.36
Tough bet to make. Spare me the Senior Day angle, it did keep me from making it a 2 unit play all though. Personally I never liked that angle in backing anyone. The line is inflated imo.
The Illini are a scrappy and talented group who've needed time to gel under Brad Underwood, and I see some upside lately. You could say that they are in a let down spot after that win over Nebraska, or you can say that there will be some carry over from that game.
Meanwhile the Spartans should be in cruise control mode. They've all but wrapped up the Big10, and Izzo knows how to delegate the lineup well this time of year for preservation untill the big dance.

I think that zone will give Toledo fits today. Toledo dropped their 2nd game to Ball st letting them stay on their heels. One game behind Buffalo and the pressure is on.
Only way that Toledo wins is to be dead on from the arc(which they could do) but I see them getting frustrated by the zone and not getting off clean shots from deep. Toledo could be minus a back up guard, a position you don't want to be thin at vs a ball hawking zone.
On the other side of the ball, EMU will work the shot clock making them work on D. Toledo runs a fast pace on offense, extra work on D can tire them out offensively. Any missed shots on quick possessions by Toledo, followed by long defensive stints is not where they're ging to want to be.
Free throws might make things hairy, emu isn't the greatest from the line.

Arkansas will be the weakest D that the Cats have seen since Vandy on January 30th, they've went through a gauntlet of hell defenses since. In those 5 games still managing to average 68 ppg. Also, all those teams have had super slow tempos(minus Auburn), Arky runs their plays pretty quick and should create a few more possessions for KY.
Just got a feeling that Calapari gets a lot out of his kids tonight, he's surprised me many times before.
