Is home court enough to justify Dayton being favored this game? This line has me worried. Aside from VCU's better record, kenpom rating, and stats (should outrebound Dayton easily) what gets me is VCU's losses.

VCU has lost to:

Virginia
Marquette
Michigan
Texas
Seton Hall
StJoes (OT)

All those programs (aside from StJoes) are quality losses. Most single digit losses as well. VCU is flirting with a bid for the tourny and this is a must win for them. Daytons lost 8 games this year and Auburn may be the best team they've faced.

If anyone has any info that would be great, im struggling to find that "ohhhhh THATS why their favored factor". These games really bothered me, almost would feel more comfortable with the line being in VCU's favor. I know home court swings 3-4 points, but thats suggesting these two are even on neutral court, which they're not. Ive got VCU at +3.5.

Don't know if this is part of the reason but VCU has yet to beat a team (home or away) that is in the top 100 in RPI which Dayton is.

VCU just lost to St Jos on the road and their RPI is around 190 while Dayton's is in the 80's

Like I said, I don't if that is it but it may play into it

I think VCU covers this game, but I'm a little worried at this point.  I said Da\yton in my thread but also warned it could be VCU.  Make sure no one is out for VCU that could be a reason.  Tough game for them with that many losses can't afford to lose this one.  I think VCU wins.

No one out for VCU. Speaking on Houstons post - I think you may be correct, but I try not to think that way. The general feeling behind that post is suggesting its up to VCU to beat Dayton.

Gamebreaker - your post is all over the place, you think its VCU but said Dayton in your thread, but it could be VCU. There are only two options bud haha. JK

ODB - glad you to see you around here still and i agree with your post. Its the line that's bothering me.

Oh by the way, Kamara effed me out of fantasy playoffs that game he went down with the concussion in Atlanta. Rode him right to that spot though haha. Keeper!

Understandable, just trying to give some reason as to why the line is what it is, not who is going to cover/win

You're right but if you go with my final line it's VCU.  I think VCU is the play here.  I'll go update it in my thread.

Yea I lurk in hidden places. I’ve been posting my ncaa picks outside the mains. I completely ditched nba. I csnt even watch that crap. I maybe played 10 games and said there is no effective way to cap this stuff, at least for me, and be consistently profitable. Lol. Kamara totally screwed me from the playoffs too, man!!! He will 100% be a top 10 pick next year. I’m gonna have to consult you for the sleepers next season. That was prediction of the year right there!

Home court seems to be the only angle here. Otherwise you're on point. Nothing really says Dayton should be favored this game. Only thing I can see for Dayton is their game against the Bonnies. If they shoot 17-24 from the field and get to the line 34 times against VCU, they have a chance. Only thing I can see for them being favored is something like that game.

Home court seems to be enough. Dayton shooting lights out to start this game.

VCU players clearly don't give a garbage tonight.  Lot of walking around like zombies.  They don't start getting some hands up and contesting shots Daytons gonna score 100+
