tried getting this up earlier     4-5 hours to go, PLENTY of time for that ulcer to get started.

posted this last year; its "fitting" for me:

Ol.iver.iz.a.tion(noun) -
Synonyms: brainfart hosed scr*wed incomprehensible baffling

this is a fairly new word added to the English vocabulary which has its origins tracing back to the British Commonwealth. Created precisely at 9:38pm (GMT+2) on April 11th, 2018. This word can best be described as the state -- or religion -- where the human brain is unable to disseminate the information sent to it from its eyes. And if used properly, this can elicit a violent fluctuation of emotions to anyone nearby (or in front of a television screen for that matter)
Though it was initially believed to be only native to Britain and its surrounding territories, scientists have since discovered this is actually being practiced in many other countrys as well.

Will you be 'Oliverized' this year?? (futbols ugly word for 'baptism')

the UCL Knockout Rounds continues....and dont forget to bring Rolaids & your cameras (VAR) with you cuz..... ya never know when you might (not) need it.

UCL:
Chapter 3 of the EPL-Bunde Festival:
Schalke/City -  how come City always gets the 'creampuff'?  Kiev, Monaco, Basel, and now the 14th place team in Bunde. took Basel on the HC last year, City sent my head back on a platter. remember telling self "as long a Pep is there.... never again".  back to that MO 'thing' .....I havent even checked the lineups. is DeBruyne healthy??   City has scored 13 goals in the 1st leg the past 3 years, as they love early leads (or get burnt trying to) Schalke might have a nice record/stats there in Groups with just 4 goals conceded (actually the 10 total is by far the lowest of any the 16 teams remaining). but geez, this is an EPL 'Big-Boy', and like the rest of their neighbors out there, ALL of them are used to seeing parked buses. ALL of them destroy parked buses too.  though I have that little 'rule' of not backing juiced road favs, Pep is the exception.
and theres been a goal scored before the 15th minute in 7 of Citys last 8 KO's (the one which didnt, came in the 26th). so I'll gladly take a shot at this one since everything else is juiced to the moon. and even with 6 straight scoreless 1st halves this year thus far.
goal before the 24th minute @-120: Yes

those familiar with me, know I dont bet sides/totals on my guys.   so ill just put my thoughts up here:

the most anticipated snoozefest of this opening round.

Madrid/Juve - Christian is coming home. the people of Madrid will be awaiting the prodigal son with extended arms.....

.....and extended middle fingers too.

soon after he arrived last summer, there was a interview with a local media and was asked which ones he disliked.  he quickly answered:  "Madrid"   so  here we are. friend was at their practices over the wknd, kind of an understatement but Christian is 'UP' for tonight.
but firstly,  when Simeone & Max have a rendezvous you just know whats coming. both coaches tactics are 'old school', and you just know what ur going to get when their teams are on the field.  our backline is healthy Giorgio & Bonucci are in there.  so we at least got a chance at the cleansheet. over the summer our FIRST priority was to get a striker whom runs faster than a flagpole. well, i guess we found one ehh? and Dybala is starting.
all i know is hell will freeze over first before Max changes his ways on the road. Im hoping he allows Christian to "roam" and let him do his thing, but none of us are counting on that.  old habits are hard to break.
On the other side, Simeone is a spit-mirror image same and has a bunch of pitbulls in that midfield of their with 2 studs in the backline as well; so they might control posession. For those whom understand tactics, take a peek at what Simeone decided to start with: 4 defensive minded CM's; so Simeone is gonna try to do what he knows best. Atletico has always been a brick wall down the middle of the field. theyll pressure the ball all over the place.  and of course Griez & his stupid 'phone calls' celebrations.
I couldn't give two 'bleeps' if we win or not...... just get the d*mn away goal. if it comes with a 'w' attached?  fine. but 1-1, 1-2, or even 1-3 is a decent result.
and fyi, Simeone has gone on record as being one of the very few coaches whom are actually happy as a duck in water with a 0-0 result at home in the first leg.    the only logical plays are either the draw or under here. prices are cr*p for both. PASS.
and on a side note, as you saw yesterday..... "logic" gets tossed out the window in CL.

- since they didnt advance last year all they did was go on to win Europa. and in the 5 years Simeone has been there, the only teams to have knocked out Atletico were Real (3 times) and Barca. something like 13 rounds.     and you wonder why that ulcer is brewing?

now watch it ends up 4-3.

just one small FUN play a few friends and i made. only a Juve 'knucklehead' would do:
Chiellini to score anytime @+1400, from a header @+3500 - as the mass of humanity focus' on Christian & Mand like a bee to honey on those corners/free kicks, Giorgios big noggin finds the ball and bangs one home.   people would be suprised to find out how many of our set pieces are actually designed for him as others are decoys.

UEL:
Sevilla/Lazio - Inzaghi giving the 'saving-face' talk again on how theyre taking this seriously &  going for the win after the 1st leg defeat. if thats the case then whyd ya rest ur leading scorer at home? theyre banged up on defense but sending out all their big guns on offense. when the head coach says "we need to score 2 goals......" not sure what Sevilla plans on doing but Lazio going to get killed on counters. suprised prices are low.
Sevilla/Lazio over 2.5 @-105

Copa Lib:
Talleres(Arg)/Palestino(Chi)- similar to yesterday, Gaucho squad is much stronger and at home vs an opponent whom will be totally focused on defending. they knocked off Brazilian power Sao Paulo last round; and more impressive was outplayed them in Brazil in that 2nd leg. good enough for me here. Talleres -1 @+120

GL to all

(putting on tinted glasses)  I hope we win 5-0, but GOD FORBID if we ever take the easier road.

FORZA JUVENTUS!!!!

anne  not an exact science. games still have to be played out. i dont have to go far back to validate.   still cant believe there were no goals in Anfield yesterday with all those defensive errors from both teams.

arch  i didnt even realize this was an early start.  geez. we'll see how it plays out.

finally ended up on the wrong side of '0' this week as Talleres couldnt hold a 2-0 lead.

Atletico made us look like cr*p, but then again, not taking anything away from them..... thats what theyve been doing the last 5-6 years. and in all honesty, they did what they were supposed to do, protect their home turf.  another tactical masterpiece by Simeone which exposed our biggest weakness.... badly. quite fortunate to be down just 2 goals.  so we got some work to do.

the ulcer is in full blast.

at least THIS time we arent going to Wembley, so I only need two alka-seltzers instead of 4.
