Club Friendly: i RARELY venture into these but was reminded of this angle yesterday, makes this a decent play. primarily, this concerns those Eastern European clubs whom are on extended winter breaks due to the lovely winters out there and their first competitive match will be UEL/CL. these 'friendly's' hold a tad bit more "importance" as they dont tend us use these to 'test' new players, theyre preparing for a big match. and if anyone is familiar with these clubs (the Shakhtars, Kievs, Astanas et al..) theyve become pretty decent mid-level european clubs this past decade. with operating budgets 10, 20x larger than what it used to be a decade ago.
Kiev/Tianjin - firstly, Kiev is on their annual extended Ukranian winter break. but they also progressed in UEL and have a date with AEK next week in Athens; they havent had many practices to get back into playing shape. after that 0-0 draw with Sofia last week, it appears the HC going in with a full strength squad for this one. Chinese clubs routinely get blown out when visiting Europe, and Tianjin is no different; already lost to Prague 3-0 and BARELY beat a 3rd division German club.
made a small play earlier with Astana whom were in a similar boat having a UEL date with Sporting next Thursday. they played another Chinese team and won 3-0. so gonna dip into this lightly; trying to get a little streak going again.
Kiev -1.5 @-105 Kiev/Tianjin over 3.5 @-104
(and yes, im aware of the fact that the line was in the -700's yesterday and is now below 300 in some places)

Copa Lib: two more 1st leg roadies whom won & are now at home.
Santa Fe/Tachira - Colombians won first leg 3-2 in San Cristobal last week, now are at home. and yes, on top of that this is another fade on Venezuelan clubs on road. I kid you not. theyre bad travellers, the whole lot of 'em.
Santa Fe -1.5 @+115
Wilstermann/Petrolero - all Bolivian. Wilster. won 2-1 on road in 1st leg which doesnt bode well for Petrolero as they havent won here in over 5 years, 0W-5D-5L; and had just 1 road win in the second part of Clausura half of season last year. they were being destroyed by that Peruvian team last week in Lima till pulling a rabbit out of their butts with 2 men down to advance. the 'over' is in play as well.
Wilstermann to win @+120, over 3.5 @+225
Bolivia:
Universitario to win @+200
Copa del Rey: i WANT to play the team total on barca but lines have too much juice. this is where Valencias strategy last week is going to backfire on them. Here you are, the 3rd place team whom trail only barca in regards to the amount of goals scored on road (20 in 11 roadies). to not even attempt to get past midfield for lengthy stretches last week and try to keep the score low is NOT how ya beat them in a 2-legged scenario. Barca WILL score once here, which will force Valencia needing to bang in 3 to advance; out goes that holding midfielder and in comes the attack minded one + the high press. that is not the position one wants to be in with Lionel on the field + a club whom is the best at the 'possession' game. especially when your current form is really bad to begin with.
keep in mind Barcas MO in these Cup matches.... since '16 theyve played 11 straight roadies where 3 goals or less were scored, yet won the possession battle in each contest. add to the fact that they DONT need to win and the under looks tempting. gonna sit on this fer a while

Leo my reasoning for that was their (Petroleros) approach HAS to be along the lines of 'needing to score goals' cuz they sure as heck arent gonna pitch a clean-sheet on the road. tho' "needing" & "doing" are two separate things.

Agreed. Not touching the game, I might live bet both teams to score combined 6 or more at plus 400 other than that not much value in the Barca game.

Leo, that 'over' was a nice hit. made the Lib a wash for the day. swept the 3 friendlys, my first and last venture into those.
ur Barca 'pass', tho this is 'after the fact' a lot of times laying off a play is the best thing for the bottom line. ppl just dont give selves credit for it as much as should cuz it never shows up in the record or whatever
