Diddy is not concerned or does he care about what people think. He could of said something more educated about his cause, instead of" I am starting a new network.....black power."
I am all for every race being empowered, but do we really have to argue that what he said came off racist especially when a majority of the audience is the young. Their is a time and a place for everything and in the context of this moment and the stage he was on he was wrong.
Yeah good one Lin should say Asian power next time he goes to dunk, or Chase should say white power next time he dunks..... or how Dirk saying German power.
My point is Diddy should learn how to speak in public.

if you were born in the United States you're American........not African American, not Italian American, not Chinese American. If you're born in Africa and your parents are from the US they don't refer to you as American African. Its political correctness run wild

If you believe all whites are making a collective effort to hold back blacks from being succesful you are the ignorant one my friend. That belief is the real problem and you are lending credibility to my point. Let me rephrase my previous comment tho, not the only problem but def a major problem, there are certainly many determining factors.

Saying the term black power stands for social equality is in itself contradictory.
The definiton of power is the possesion of control or command over others.

Entertaining thread. I'm surprised it hasn't reached the box just yet, especially after the "Kill Whitey" comment. I'm sure it was a Farley reference but still.
If someone were to post, "Kill Blackey", this would've been boxed. Fo' Sho!

Really who cares?? If Diddy or Puffy Dad or Dirty Money talks, take it as a form of entertainment which is what he is good for. He is not a political leader or anything, why bother taking to heart what he says..
Black people still do things as a culture that whites do not and vise versa. It is a part of life and it goes with any race, culture, gender...Treat all people as you want to be treated and do not worry about the things you cannot control..Do you
