Hey fellas,

Need your input. Bama is currently at a crazy -210 to win the National Championship. Defense is struggling a bit. Next closet teams is +600. Clemson and Georgia both have better defenses right now statistically. Looking to hammer a dog to win the Championsip. Who Do you like?

If you like Georgia...Then just take them ML in the SEC ship game...Thats the game that will determine if they get in...Bama will be easily -13+ ..ML for Georgia will be +400

Best chance is Clemson if QB keeps improving out of 2 you listed

realistically Bama should be favorite with healthy Tua but they aren’t unbeatable , every team can lose, we are in early October so things could look much different by Thanksgiving

It’s college football , a few key players get injured & the landscape changes fast

Ohio State may be the only team that could match them point for point.

I believe Westgate had lines for Bama vs. the contenders, the lowest line was -8.5, which would equal around a -325 moneyline so you're getting a deal.

The other thing is...  even if Bama loses to Georgia in SEC Championship, there is no way I see that they are left out of the Playoff with 1 loss

Being bama alum and Ohio St would be a slaughtering I would love to have happen.

UGA and Clemson are the two that could be dangerous imo and if Clemson could get QB playing consistent

LSU? Mobile QB? Burrow can move a little bit but he isn’t the kind of WB that will hurt Bama - Alabama beats LSU easily- They don’t have the offense to keep up even with a “subpar” Bama defense

If they played tomorrow Bama is probably -8.5 to Georgia and Clemson, -9.5 to Olieo St, -13.5 to ND. Still a lot of football to play yet though. None of these teams have made it yet although these are the most likely candidates. As WahooS pointed out injuries could change everything.

Imo Bama would blow the Irish out. ND will not have played the same level of competition as the aforementioned. Just not sold on the Irish.

Of course Georgia and Clemson could possibly beat Bama but I don't think it is probable. Not sure Ga has the run game to keep Tide honest. Though Tiger qb a huge talent I don't think he is ready yet.

I agree with BWS. The Luckeyes have the best chance to put the most points on the board against Bama because of Haskins and a run game you have to respect. If I had to pick a dog I would take OSU.

I think the best bet is to eat the chalk with Bama. If they should happen to lose a game they still get in the playoffs. The rest may not have that luxury.

I'm not a SEC homer by the way. Big 12 fan. Bol to ya whatever you decide.

My current line guesses

ALABAMA VS

-13. Georgia
-14.5. Ohio st
-17. Clemson
-17.5. Notre Dame
-19.5 Texas
-21.5  Washington

nobody will ever see this coming .. Texas will jump into top 4 after they beat West Virginia .. knock off either clemson or ohio st and beat Alabama for the championship and the entire nations will be shocked

it's a process , but it could be done .. they're a well coach team , but first they got to beat West Virginia to achieve these dreams .. very possible

that dual threat didn't do no damage against the Gators lol .. let's see if they can beat Georgia first before they even get to the top 4

and West Virginia got to keep winning until they play Texas .. Big 12 is making a big push to get either Texas / West Virginia into the College Playoff .. Texas got a better shot at it since they already beat Oklahoma , West V still got that on their menu ..  they got a very solid shot here .. in the meantime Texas got to continue improves and it is very possible !! That would be the sweetest upset in College Football

I think ND can cause of thier front four on defense they can get to the QB without bringing the house and they can stop the run which could take away the pa pass for Bama. Other then ND I don't see any school maybe Oregon on offense but they would have to play eat the clock and we all seen what happened when they tried that. Bama is the only school that I know that if they lose thier championship game they still are in the playoffs. Way too much talent ofcourse anything can happen. But other then ND no team is going to be able to beat them.

Clemson is the only one of the potential teams in the discussion that I like well enough to give them a run for their money. Tigers have the 2nd highest rated sack rate and have opposing QB's completing less than 50% of passes.

Ohio state has the best shot if they can make it there. I’d say Georgia but their quarterback play has been too weak for me to believe they can just rely on the running game to beat Alabama. Clemson has the D, but Trevor Lawrence is just not making enough plays as a true freshman.

Ohio State would be tops for sure, and possibly Georgia.

ND is weak and Clemson is EXTREMELY overrated.

It is no guarantee bama even plays for the natty. Lose tua and bama is done. Only a fairy tale would have jalen hurts leading bama to a championship. Tua is in a knee brace now. There is nothing preordained about bama. Their D is the worst bama D in the saban era and it is being masked by an electric offense. No SEC offense is good enough passing to expose the back end of the bama D. To beat bama it will not be a 24-21 type of game. It will be a 47-42 type game with an opposing D good enough to get them off the field just enough to win a track meet. Im not saying Clemson will beat bama but they certainly can. The clemson passing game is not yet a finished product but the D is good enough to get bama off the field a few times. Clemson is the only top 10 ten team with an O and a D ranked in the top 10. I took clemson preseason to win the natty but Georgia and ohio state could be them. I personally think Bama would woodshed ND. I also think it is no certainty UGA even makes the playoffs.
