Interesting week for freaks who do things like play round-robin pleaser parlays (not that I know any of those, but anyway...).
Duke +1 - Duke is better than Baylor. Back-up QB isn't bad. Devils have other injuries, and it's not a great spot (and also a revenger for the Bears), but they have the best head coach in damn near any game, need the game for bowl aspirations and Devils joke game on deck.
Rutgers -3 - wait, Kansas is good now?
Auburn -17 - for the first ever, I can't get a room on campus for Alabama's game/controlled scrimmage in Baton Rouge this November; I'm thinking some rooms might free-up by halftime on Saturday
San Diego State -1 - really nice spot for serially under-appreciated Aztecs.
Syracuse -3 - FSU looks awful
Texas Tech -6 - would a 7-point Raiders home win really surprise anyone?
Pittsburgh +2.5 - neither team impressed last week; seems like the sort of game the Panthers usually win. Good seats still available.
The State University of New York-Double Up For Life Campus -9 - I'm sticking to my previous notion that Eastern isn't any good.
5-3 in my round-robin pleaser fiesta, with five out of the six dogs winning outright, made for a profitable week. Can't recall when I had some many potential pleaser plays jump out. Early indications are that next week's lines are much tighter. I'd like to take LaTech at a pleaser number, buy I suspect the line will be too high for 5D to offer one.

I've been following this sport pretty seriously for the better part of 40 years, and can never recall seeing so many real programs in the dumpster. USC Arkansas UNC Nebraska UCLA Florida State One the other end, good to see former perennial powers Syracuse, BYU, Washington Colorado back among the living. Why is Illinois never any good? Sounds like a football school. But it kind of never is.
TexasFloridathese two should both be top 10 every year with recruiting hotbeds & they both have sucked for years
Certainly considered both. What you say is absolutely true.

I know they lost by like 80, but I was impressed with Kent State yesterday. They should be a love dog in the MAC on occasion.
How good is Kansas? Who knows. Rutgers turned the ball over six times, many of those early. The Jayhawks' ability to run at will, though, is certainly concerning for the Knights moving forward. KU, recall, did lose to Nichols State, who has gone one to lose easily to Tulane and McNeese since. McNeese is actually pretty good. They have a couple of Ed Orgeron's kids running around there.
UConn won't be able to stop anyone.
Continue to be impressed with Cincy. Coaching is everything in this sport, and they have a good one.
