My offshore site has 40-1, although I am in Vegas this week and see 25-1 here.

Schedule doesn't look brutal, should return a decent D.  Not that i think they can win it all but can anybody see them as a 1 loss team and in the playoffs?  At 40-1 there would be a great hedge if they made the playoffs.

Another team i was looking into was Michigan St at 33-1.  Tough thing about them is they have to play Michigan, Ohio St and @ Penn State.  Would need to be a 1 loss team in my opinion in order to reach playoffs.  Not sure if they can go into Penn St and beat them, and then beat Ohio St or Michigan at home.  Thoughts??

I think Texas is at least a year a way from being a legit top 10 team...After a revenge game at Maryland and a hope opener beat down of Tulsa, they have SC, TCU, Kansas State and OU for the next 4 weeks.    I think all 4 of those may be replacing QB's, so I think we have a chance to win in all 4.  That is, we could win all 4 or lose all 4...or somewhere in between...I think we will win the rest of our games.  So yes, I am a homer, so I could see us going 8-4 at worse or with some luck 12-0...I think it will probably be 9-3 or 8-4...I look for improvement, but we have questions and a lack of depth at the RB position.    We are not elite yet, but I think we are on the right track, and we should be ranked 20 to 25 or be on the fringe of the Top 25 to start the season...
