What the hell are you talking about, that was 9 years ago.. I would never talk shit about Auburn lol they are the last team in the SEC I would back to represent the Conference.
It would have been great to see USC play UF in 08 or LSU in 03. Or even Auburn again in 04

not a fair question. cuz if i asked u when the SEC(guessing ur a BAMA guy) played a top PAC-12 team, ur gonna go with the LSU/ORE or AUB/ORE NC game, right? Oregon aint USC nor do they have the tradition and history of the Trojans.
Last Game vs SEC:
2003 wk1
USC ranked #8 @ AUB ranked #6
USC travels to AUB, not no freaking neutral site, thats ballz baby!
Final score : 23-0 TROJANS.
Didn't they go to Arkansas a couple years later & beat them like 52-10? Not that it matters a helluva lot now......
Gotta relent to the fact that until someone else wins the MNC, the SEC has bragging rights.

Thanks for the props Boom, I'm excited to watch this D come fall. Majority of the attention will be on the d-line, but the secondary will be very good as well.

What a ignorant statement. FSU is loaded defensively with tons of depth.
my top 5 defense for 2012
1. FSU 2. Florida 3. Texas 4. Ohio S.T 5. LSU
No Alabama guys... Yes they will be good. But they do take a hit compared to last years defense. Will they still be a top 15 type? Absolutely
I was kind of kidding because them and VT seem to be the only top tier defenses in the nation out of that league now. What is Clemson bringing back from last year? Venables was a good hire, their defense was horrendous to watch last year when betting on them.

Yeah their defense was horrible. But as YOU know Clemson historically is a top 20 to 25 defense every year. Last year was the one year they didn't show up and the offense did. Kind of vice versa.... Clemson historically is good on defense and average on offense.
Do I think Clemson will be improved defensively? Absolutely.

We have 3 of the same.. have Bama instead of Texas (even 2 yrs ago when huge drop off hit, Bama still ended #7 in total D)
And MSU instead of OSU.. both should be good, just think MSU's is little better
yeah man.... Look, bama will be great nobody denies that... I just feel these guys are gonna have to re load in a sense.... not literally re loading....They have tons of depth. I mean experience wise.

I really have no idea why people act like Urbans offenses were some trick show and some innovative offense, his teams run the ball a ton when he is winning and plays good defense.

He knows how to use his playmakers....very, very well. Who knows what could have been for TP his first couple years IF they opened the playbook. Tressel's conservative style didn't play into TP's mold, and that's just one example.
This OSU offense won't be your typical run, run, pass, punt that you've seen the past 10+ years.....can't wait.

I don't think anyone can take an ACC defense that seriously right now.
maybe you will when they maybe play usc for the national title, because neither of them play in the sec. dont get me wrong i think lsu and bama are better teams and would beat usc and fsu, but the more i look at these schedules and how good the sec is, imo the sec is EVEN BETTER this year than last year, but you know what that means? it very possible bama and lsu each lose atleast 1 or 2 games, and lets say they just lose 1 game, but usc is 12-0 and fsu is 12-0 and usc and fsu win their conf title games, imo alot of people, not me, but alot are sick of the sec, a 1 loss sec team i dont think would get in this time over an unbeaten fsu or usc team
that why i do fancy phil steele prediction that fsu can win the bcs title this year, i agree i will be on them for 15 to 1 its a great price with their weak schedule, and i can always hedge with that price in the title game, imo if lsu or bama played them lsu or bama would beat the shit out of fsu, but it possible sec misses the bcs title game this year because of the schedules in sec are hard, and they always are BUT THIS YEAR MORE SO THAN OTHER YEARS IMO EXCEPT GEORGIA BUT THEY USUALY CHOKE

from a scale of 1-100 100 with being a for sure win, what would you rate clemson chances at winning in florida st this year? clemson is gonna be good but i dont think they can beat florida st do you? the spread on this game is florida st -8 but i dont care about that
what percent of the time you think clemson wins this game at florida st? 15 or 20 percent of the time?

It is possible that FSU could get to the NC game having played just one or two top ten teams by the end of the regular season. Clemson, VT I guess being a possible two and UF at the end of the year but I doubt it.

Clemson has owned FSU in recent history. I think FSU has the edge in this upcoming game as of now. Things will obviously change once we see both play.

come on wheels. You act if Florida doesn't play a easy schedule either. Yes they play LSU but keep in mind this .............
Florida plays @ Tennesee on September the 15th and then dont play a " real " road game until the last game of the regular season vs FSU on November 24th.
I think Florida will have a good season ( per what I wrote about them in my breakdown ) but half of that has to do with the very favorable schedule they have..... not as easy as Georgia, but still much easier than lets say...S.C

I've gone on record as saying that I think this season will be pretty much a repeat of last season in that I think Alabama & LSU will again be the best two teams in the country. And the reason these two teams will be the best IMO is because, like last season, they will have the best two defenses in the country. Defensively speaking, basically you have Alabama & LSU, and then you have everyone else. I will say, however, that I don't think the gap between Alabama & LSU is quite as big as it was last season. I think some teams have definitely closed the gap.
Flip a coin for #1 & #2. After that there are a lot of teams in the discussion. In the SEC Georgia & Florida will also be very stout defensively. In the Big 12 I think Texas is by far the best defensive team in that conference. In the PAC 12 USC is loaded with talent. In the Big 10 Michigan State and Ohio State stick out, and in the ACC Florida State is the cream of the crop with Virginia Tech getting a honorable mention. If I had to pick a top 5 (very tough to do), I'll go with the following:
#1 Alabama (will give them a slight edge over LSU because of coaching)
#2 LSU
#3 Georgia
#4 Florida State
#5 Texas
Note: Alabama, LSU & Georgia finished as the top 3 defenses last season, so I'm not really going out on much of a limb with my prediction.

The Gators schedule is in no way in comparison to UGA and FSU's schedules. Florida opens SEC play in Week 2 on the road for A&M's first game ever and will be a ridiculous atmosphere then go straight on the road again in Week 3 in conference. Florida got the shaft with that 2nd game.
