Kershaw is not that attractive. His age + post season legacy have caught up with him. Koufax remains the best pitcher in Dodger history, and I am not a Kershaw hater; I just like looking at reality.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

If Kershaw opts out of his remaining two years of $64m he is nuts.
What does he think he's worth in Free Agency coming off of three straight injury-shortened seasons?
Kershaw can easily opt out and get a 5 Year $150 million contract...Darvish got $120+ million last year....Kershaw is from Texas...and the Rangers would definitely pony up the $$....Would not be surprised to see the Astros make a run at Kershaw if he opts out.

Darvish got a 6 year deal that averages only $20m a year and DECLINES annually.
Like I said, if Kershaw walks away from his last two years at $32m each year HE IS NUTS.

Lefties are a premium baseball...Kershaw is only 30 years old......Cole Hamels who is not even close to a pitcher like Kershaw got a 6 year $144 million contract when he was 28... Kershaw may not be the best pitcher in baseball anymore but can still be a solid #1 on most teams..He also will put seats in the stadium....
Also Verlander was dog shiit 3-4 years ago with the Tigers. Kershaw has a lot of baseball left and can easily regain his form.

Doesn't Kershaw have a herniated disc? If i recall well, that caused most of his injuries in the last years, especially this year, which made him lose velocity on his fastball.
I don't see him opting out, especially if his back will be an issue going forward, no team would take a risk with him, regardless of his value.

He pitched 161 innings this year with a sub 2.50 ERA....Top 5 ERA in baseball....

As they did with Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers announced that they have agreed to push back the deadline on their club option over third baseman David Freese until Friday afternoon at 4pm ET.

The Dodgers have struck a new deal with star lefty Clayton Kershaw, per Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports (via Twitter). It’s a three-year, $93MM pact, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic (via Twitter). There are no opt-outs in the pact, Brown adds in another tweet, but Kershaw can boost his earnings through bonuses.
Kershaw had the right to opt out of the remaining two years and $65MM
on the extension he signed before the 2014 season. Rather than testing
free agency, and perhaps considering alternative destinations, the
veteran southpaw will remain with the only organization he has known as a
professional.
This deal will only tack on a single season at a $28MM guarantee,
which may seem light for a pitcher of Kershaw’s accomplishments. On the
other hand, he has not been his previously peerless self over the past
three campaigns. Kershaw will turn 31 before the start of the 2019
season and has only averaged 162 frames annually since the start of
2016. Given that he obviously preferred to remain with the Dodgers,
perhaps it’s not terribly surprising that he’ll sign on for another year
at a premium rate of pay but without obtaining a significant new term
of years.

My buddy texted me the other day to take the Phillies 20-1 because he thinks they will sign Harper.
I got a good laugh out of that.
At only 26 yrs old and in great health Bryce Harper is a player. I AM NOT laughing at this guy. He is a force to be reckoned with and can be a real difference maker depending where he signs.

Mariners get Yanks top pitching prospect, southpaw Justus Sheffield, Right-hander Erik Swanson and outfielder Dom Thompson-Williams.
NY will have Paxton under control for 2 more years and is projected to make around 9 mil in 2019, which is about how much Gray should make, so money he wont do any damage to Yanks salary cap, also cause Gray will most likely be traded.
Paxton seems like a good fit, although he is a little injury prone, i think his numbers against Boston were a big part of the decision to trade for him.

Corbin to Nationals means they will be parting ways with Harper. Glad Corbin stays in the NL but that is a double edged sword because Eovaldi might be on the NYY radar now. Damn Yankees.
