YOU RUINED THIS WHOLE POST...."I'm a huge Braves fan".......that's the issue here....he faced shit teams over 12 of the last 14 games.....this Cards lineup has as much or more leadership than these Braves could think of.......Molina,Carpenter,Wainright,Beltran etc.......and everyone wrote them off last year......this lineup could score runs off anybody and showed what momentum can do down the strtch.....I'm just saying that the world is on ATL and Medlen but history shows us these Cardinals have been to proven underdogs like last year!
And I will go as far as to argue that this year's lineup is stronger than last year's with Pujols in it.....all last year they walked Albert and forced him to chase bad pitches....he did shit last year in the playoffs except a one game 3-HR game in a blowout win that meant shit!........Everybody knows what huge public favorites do.........FAIL............my money is solidly on the Redbirds!
BOL
Molina? I counter with McCann. Carpenter? I counter with Hudson. Wainwright (if you could spell it properly)? I counter with a combination of Hanson and Maholm. Beltran? Please. Prado, Bourn, and Heyward every single time.

Molina 50 GP , .309 BA..........McCann 7 GP , .300 BA
Beltran 22 GP , .366 BA..........Heyward 4GP , .125 BA
Holliday 30 GP , .280 BA.........Prado /Bourn/Freeman 2 GP,.000
Freese 18 GP , .397 BA..........Uggla 0 GP, .000 BA
Noew in every one of your comparitive options to what I first remarked you were so very wrong it's embarrassing........as I said before.........these Cardinals have more leadership than the Braves could ever dream of.
And of course who can forget Chipper.......91 GP with a .288 BA.......INCREDIBLE...........BUT WAIT........he hasn't seen the postseason since '05 (7 years)and his last 3 postseason years of '03-'05 combined he hit a whopping .180..............So I'll take a red hot Allan Craig over him who had as many clutch hits last year for the Cardinals as any and only led the MLB in AVG w RISP hitting over .415 !!!!!!!!

Thanks stat boy. I really don't care about all the numbers you unearth. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. In fact, it gives me please that minions like you are doing that type of dirty work for me and others. Anyways, I'm not going to stoop and point you in the direction of baseball reference, or anything of the sort. Stat guys like yourself are the squarest bettors in the world. You see a line of +145 of the defending champions...it's hard not to like them, I'll give you that. But the square sees the line as "value". Sure. There's a reason that it's that high...IF Vegas thought that STL had a really good chance to win, this line wouldn't crack +125. But go ahead...throw your $45 on the Cardinals, and may the best team win.
