I respect your work HappyKane and I'm not knocking you system in ANY WAY here... I'd just like to express my thoughts for the games today.
I've seen the comments here regarding the games today and...
I follow the Giants since I'm in thier area for about 16 years now... I do believe that Lincecum is the better pitcher and will rebound soon however in the past when he has had rough patches he usually starts to rebound AT HOME in SF... His last outing (at home) vs the Phillies went well except for the 4 run 1st inning which cost the Giants the game eventually. SHOULD the game go as scheduled w/o rain delays I'm not convinced that Lincecum is worthy of that much confidence at this point of the season... It's just too early yet... and to expect him to rebound away from home suddenly is a very real risk especially with the Giants well known problems in scoring runs. They have been scoring more this season however it only takes Timmy's penchant for giving up long balls to shoot down any runs that SF can get him. For me the only play would be SF however I urge caution until he has a few steady starts under his belt... especially when considering taking him on the road at this time. I think it's best to PASS but to each his own...
And I find it difficult to support any play on Pittsburgh today over STL w/Lohse... Not sure why you rank him lower with his record of 2-0 and 0.89 era vs the Bucs Bedard and his 0-3 record w/ his 2.65 ERA. The Cards are the better hitting team and Lohse is obviously a better pitcher. I just don't see a reason to take Pit over STL... You would be safer taking the OVER here and skipping the side wager. The one big item in favor of PIT is the UMP... Check out the trends for the STL/PIT game... Link is below...

And now... On to my Phillies... They SUCK. That's right, they suck right now. WHY would ANYONE back a guy like Blanton today when Lee just pitched 10 scoreless innings and they still lost...??? And Halladay started last night for the Fluffin Phils and got just ONE run of support. The ONLY WAY the Phillies can win a game these days is to have a 3 or 4 run inning by some miracle and try and hold on for a win. These guys are worse than the Pre-playoff Phillies of the mid-1970's. They can't hit thier way out of a wet paper bag. I'd only put money on the Phils if the oppo starter had an ERA over 10 runs at this time.
Like I said HappyKane... I highly respect your work here and all you do for others... but these 3 picks I've mentioned here just don't seem as legit as some people here seem to think. There is much more to an outcome and that needs to be considered also. It would not surprise me if STL wins 6-3... The Mets win 5-2... and the Phillies lose 4-1... as a matter of fact I believe that is what will most likely happen today.
Either way... I enjoy your threads and wish you the best of luck today and on into the season. I just felt like sharing my thought with YOU HappyKane... PEACE

Interesting system you have. You mind if I ask where the ratings come from for each pitcher? I've always been intrigued by systems and have always tried to find one that hits consistently year in and year out. Thanks. Also, is there I way I could look at past spreadsheets?

I don't understand the plays on totals. If Clev and Oak pitchers are both blue B+, doesn't that indicate they're both strong today, and therefore an under play. And shouldn't Atl and AZ pitchers both be weak with a red C, meaning an over play?
Someone please give me a brief explanation. Thanks....

Here's another one... Cueto is C-/D- and Wells is C-. Isn't that as bad as it gets for both, so shouldn't they get pounded (bet over)?
Is my logic wrong; please straighten me out.
