Also hit on the Canucks ML to make it an overall 7-2 day on Sunday
Monday's Card:
Cardinals ML 1.33 to win 1
Lohse is due to return to earth at some point, but I'd rather ride him until it happens rather than guess when it might occur. The Cardinals have scored nearly 100 more runs than the Padres this season already and the Pads are horrible at home. Holliday and Theriot may miss the game, but John Jay has been hitting great though so he can fill in nicely if Holliday can't go. Theriot would be more difficult to replace, but the Cards just have too much fire power for the Padres. I'll likely be on the Cards every game this series.
Rays ML 1 to win 1.03
I watched Hellickson pitch his last start versus Toronto and this kid is good! He's got a nasty changeup and he throws it for strikes on any count. I know the Tigers are streaky, but I just can't buy into Phil Coke being a great starter. If he manages to get into a duel with Hellickson though, the Rays bullpen has an era 2.5 runs loweIr than the Tigers. Yes, 2.5!
Mariners ML 1 to win 1
When I first looked at this game it seemed too good to be true. Mariners are hot and the Twins are just god awful. Vargas has been dominant while Pavano has been Jekyl and Hyde. In the end, trap or not, I'm taking Vargas who has been nearly unhittable in his last 5 starts vs the worst offense in the majors. I also like that the Twins "big hitters, Morneau and Kubel are both lefties. Kubel hits 40 points lower vs lefties this season, and well...Morneau doesn't hit anybody anymore.
I may add an additional play Monday afternoon, but there's a pretty solid chance this will be my final card.

Spidy...I have been on your plays for the most part all year. Today however, I am on the other side of all three of your plays.
1) Cards game is a toss up for me but I love the OVER in that one
2) You cant expect the Tigers pen to maintain a 6+ ERA all year can you?
3) Twins averaging almost 6 RPG in their last 5 games. Pavano OVERdue for positive regression and the Mariners cant score runs. Add the fact that it's the 1st game back home since Killer's passing and emotions will be high.

Billdogg looks like we just have different angles on these games.
I don't expect the Tigers pen to be this bad all year, but I'm also not going to give them credit until they show they deserve it.
I also understand the positive regression angle and I think Pavano has already started that in his last 2 starts. I'm sure he'll have a good outing, but I think Vargas will really give the Twins problems.
I've done great this year but I don't profess to be a genious, so if you're right I tip my hat to you on a solid card.

what do you think about tonights nhl game.... over or under 5.5???
Lean Over 5.5 and Bruins. I rarely put two bets on the same game though so will likely go with just one of those for tonight. Not going to decide until later in the day.

Hard to bet against a 24-4 record in their last 28 at home, but I have a feeling the Red Sox win tonight. Gonna go get some other work done and take another look at it later in the day.
