this league has to allow major situations in the playoffs to be reviewed as the call in San Jose was clearly missed thus we have the ability to NOT end a team's season on such stupidity...the refs didn't see it to begin with, then they felt pressure to make a decision on the RESULT not the event..and cross checks like that happen a ton of times in games and don't get called...take them off the hook and don't ruin a team's year of effort..and the Knights completely outplayed SJ in game 6 and 7 and made way less mistakes...
And hey Polar Bear so how is your thoughts on Bettman rigging the league for his high profile teams looking now? You really think he wanted Vegas out over SJ? Carolina over Washington?

The league doesn't care, nobody cares that you had money on the game. The call stood and it made sense. No revision needed. Why don't you blame a shitty team letting in 3 goals in several minutes, it's only bad hockey to blame. There's powerplants all over the place in the playoffs, this was just another one

I didn't have a problem with the penalty, but did have a problem with Vegas giving up 4 PP goals.
This.
Amazing that people are still blaming the refs. Eakin's cross check was textbook right out of an NHL official rule book. The fact that Pavelski got seriously hurt because of it, forced the ref's hand into calling it a major. He had no choice.
Power play or not, you simply don't allow 4 goals in 5 minutes. What happened to the penalty kill unit? It wasn't 5 on 3 or anything.
And finally the half hearted attempt by the defenseman to drive Goodrow to the boards but instead allows a breakaway in his own end resulting in the game winning goal.
Lots of blame to go around, but the officials don't deserve any of it.

sorry, I've heard neutral players yesterday confirm this happens tons of times and isn't called or is worst case a minor..and if Pavelski doesn't get hit a 2nd time by accident, he doesn't go down..doesn't matter what else happens afterwards if it never should have happened...but the Knights were fighting very hard game 6 and 7 and did the work required by far to win so don't give me that angle...the Sharks got incredibly lucky in both games and I think Colorado ends the gift season

I heard players say it was justified. So I will give you that angle and the angle that Vegas just out and out choked. I don't care what call you think is bad, when a team gives up 4 pp goals in a 5 minute span they deserve to lose the series.
It's done and they lost. As a side note they lost me a chunk of cash, but I'm not crying about it. To come back from 3-1 down and win the series is no luck at all. They earned it !!
