The Flyers Game: For those thinking this is a homer pick I assure you it is not. I thought very hard about this game and given the value of the wager I found it to be a must play. Does Pittsburgh have to win? Ya pretty much, but Pittsburgh had to win during game 7 last year at home against Tampa Bay and they could not even score a goal on home ice, never mind win the game. Ya I know, I know, they had no Crosby, well that's bullshit, they have loads of raw offensive talent on that team and nobody stepped up to get it done. In fact in that series, Pittsburgh did exactly what everyone is saying can't possibly happen today, they lost 3 straight playoff games. Those 3 games along with the 2 to Philly in this series make it a 5 game playoff losing streak for the mighty Penguins, with 4 of those games being on their own home ice!
Should the Penguins win this game? If they are the team they are supposed to be then yes they should win it with a dominating performance, because that is what a championship team would do. I have mad respect for their talent level and for what they have accomplished, but I have seen no viable reason to side with this team during big games lately.
Malkin has been completely owned by the 19 year old phenom, Couturier, and now he will not even have a second of playing time without the kid on his back.
Bryzgalov has been better than Fleury, and Giroux has been better Crosby. Talbot and Jagr are playing with incredible passion against their old team as I had expected, but especially Talbot, he looks possessed out there.
On paper Pittsburgh SHOULD win today and get right back in this series, as I expect them to call on whatever they have inside them, which I have seen in the past is or was a lot.
Pittsburgh has lost 6 of their last 8 playoff games. Here are the scores of those games - 5-1 / 8-2 / 4-2 / 1-0 / 4-3 / 8-5. Their 2 wins after the 5-1 game earlier in the Tampa series were both by scores of 3-2 and one win came in overtime. Not exactly what you would call scary stuff. Maybe that all changes today.
However until I actually see some of these things change, I see no reason not bet against these losers of 5 straight playoff games who gave up 4 or more goals in 4 of those games and 8 twice.
I am getting plus money to bet against these guys on the road and the public is betting on them. If that all does not make it worth a shot just as much as the angle of "they will win because they have to" then I don't know what does. I'll make them beat me, and hats off to them if they do. I obviously expect to see their best.

And for those comparing lines. Pittsburgh was a bigger favorite than Vancouver so they should not be the same today. They were not the same on home ice so that would make no sense. The lines have adjusted evenly and accurately. The Flyers have gotten zero respect from the linesmakers or public since the beginning of this series and won't throughout.

Normally would not count in game hedging as losses as they are just value angles against the market while the game is going on ( but I don't want anyone thinking I'm being a dirtbag hiding losses) . They are just moves to make me an early guaranteed winner with zero risk while a game is going on, and I'm generally planning it before the game if I've done it. With the Nashville OT in play wager I thought I might catch both, and I would have if that puck at the end of the 2nd period was traveling 1 mph faster when it crossed the goal line lol.
Onto the night games.
