Scal - no superstar out angle here huh? other players step up? lol
I made this point in the Bulls Celtics series. The angle in the playoffs is a whole different animal, and is applicable, possibly in game (as we saw with the Jazz and Gobert in Game 1 and the Clips and Blake in game 3) but I also bet against the same angle when teams can gameplan for it, like this game, as I won my bet with the Celtics over the Bulls in Game 4 with Rondo out.
These angles are nuanced like with everything in life. Nothing is cut and dry.

I played Spurs assuming that they will win big... 106-94 ... they will play HUGE defense
That's a nice pom-pom shaking statement. But it is just hopeful and nothing more.
Unfortunately you are saying that AFTER you made a bet on the Spurs ML and somehow you are also saying that AFTER you now know you won't have a defensive player of the year finalist on the floor.
Puzzling.
Looking for Manu miracle blocks on Harden ain't happening against Klay and Curry bud.

Also, I know it doesn't matter that much but I think I heard somewhere in the last 10 playoff series when a team was down 2-0 , the team down is 10-0 or 9-1 in the first half ats in game 3...

In Golden State's last 10 playoff series they have trailed at the half of game 3 all but once.

Kawhi out and initially the line only goes up 1.5 points? Seems weird. I know it's going up more but that's just sketchy. Especially with how mad the Warriors have outscored SA without Kawhi. I'm leaning SA first half if not full game. Line just seems weird to me. You have a team with 4 all Stars and bench players that could start on a lot of other teams in the league versus a team that doesn't have 1 star player (with kawhi out) and their starting point guard out. Not to mention a team that was inferior to the Warriors even with kawhi and parker playing. Now you got this Warriors team that I spoke about above playing against a starting line up of Pau, LA, Simmons, Green and Patty Mills. 4 of those guys would be bench players on most teams. And the initial line is the "Monstars" only minus 8? I understand the game is in SA but that 8 points is only 3 buckets for the Warriors. This team just crushed SA and none of their starters even played more than 30 minutes and one played just 6 minutes due to injury and they still crushed them. I honestly think the Warriors are more dangerous with Mcgee playing for ZAZA. I don't know. Initial line with kawhi out just looks weird to me.

Scal they are -9 now, do you still like it at this number ? Im leaning yes ,would be great to hear your thoughts...
Winston, I posted this, with the gamble Kawhi would be out, and the quotes and practice monitoring therein, so the general reader could follow at -6 based on that.
It was right assumption.
So I have no comment on the -9. You are smart enough to take a side with that line.

Only thing I can think of is Pop announced Leonard being out to get the Warriors to lose focus and take them lightly.
I don't think it's really going to help.
I have Warriors -8 and in a ML parlay with Cleveland last night so here goes nothing.
Absolutely not. Warriors are no more relaxed than 4 hours ago. It's pop being old school refusing to play the chess game younger coaches play, and that is to his detriment with a player and game of this caliber.

The line is not unusual. The previous line was +13.5 and the shift from home to road has an upper bound of -6.5 to -10. It landed right in the middle with an adjustment at -7.5 and opened at -6(again nothing unusual as that falls between 6.5 and 10) and now is getting adjusted for no Kawai.

A must win game for the Spurs. After game 2, Pop said he expects to see a different team for game 3. Spurs FH and FG. BOLA.
Pop sitting KL is a sign to his team that they have given up and are not winning this series. And that is a fact. If they had any shot to win this thing KL would not be sitting. If you wanna say they will try to win one for pride, maybe. But I am not buying that either.

This is one of the least smart things I've ever heard. Down 2-0 with these next 2 games at home and Popovich decides to sit Kawhi to tell his team we give up? No. The only reason Popovich sits Kawhi tonight is because he's not healthy enough to contribute as much as his healthy bench players. Would we rather see a hobbled Kawhi? Yes. But popovich feels as if he can't fully contribute. Not "let's sit kawhi so the rest of the team gives up". I've never heard a more insane comment.
