Styles make fights and this last weekend we saw two conflicting styles result in a beatdown in Foxboro. The Patriots are good but are they great? Was the dominating performance against Rivers and co a mirage of some sorts or was it a sign of what we should expect going forward? Is it coincidence that the Patriots will face the Chiefs afaik Sunday? Nope. We saw the Patriots exploit Rivers and his lack of mobility but what will they exploit in Mahomes? He’s seen the Patriots before and as great a game planner as Belly is, you gotta have the right personnel when you go up against Mahomes. He can throw, he can move and he seems poised in all situations. IF Belly and the Pats win Sunday, you could argue it would be one of his best coaching jobs ever.
As stated, Mahomes isn’t Rivers. He moves and he makes a defense cover for the entire play and then some. The Chiefs came to play this last weekend and they beat a good run game, a hot qb and an o line that was tops. Was this a mirage? Did Luck and Vinny help a bit? Sure they did. That’s another story but as the game progressed, it was clear Indy were just pawns out there. So what gives on Sunday? A rematch of earlier in the year but at a different venue. Is this a similar situation from back a few years ago where the Pats played step stool to the Broncos in Denver for Manning to get a shot at title number 2? The Pats lost my 2 in that one on a failed two point conversion. Will the Pats be the stepping stool for Reid to finally get another shot at a title? For me, this game comes down to arguably one of the best play callers of his time versus the best coach of all time. The Patriots defense is not as good as what they showed this past weekend and if there is one team to dissect it and exploit it, it’s the Chiefs and Mahomes. No doubt Belly will show Reid some exotic looks but it’s all gonna be on Mahomes to showcase the complete package. I watched that Patriots Chiefs game earlier in the year and the Chiefs should have won imo. Surprise me we get a rematch? Not one bit.
You take the fact that the Patriots already beat KC, the fact that they dominated Rivers and a good LA team, we now have a short spread for Sunday. The public will like the Pats. Amazing how things change in one week huh? Who is the best player in this game? It’s not Brady but many feel it will be. Does that motivate him? Oh yeah. The dialogue after the game from Brady told me a lot. He planted a seed folks. He said everybody thinks they suck.....and that we should watch out. Hmmmm.....you think the Chiefs won’t be ready though? They lost to the Patriots earlier in the year in a shootout in Foxboro. If you ask everyone in that locker room who they’d want to play in this game? They will tell you the Patriots. 100%. Come Sunday, where is the bait? Who tilts the needle for you? Brady or Mahomes? Reid or Belly? If you go off of PAST, it’s the Patriots but if you go off of the NOW and how KC has played all year, you go with Reid and Mahomes. Kelce vs Gronk. Brady vs. Mahomes. Hill vs. Edelman. Reid vs. Belly. The Pats were supposedly washed up according to the media and the Chiefs supposedly had a bad defense....we saw neither come to play. Can Brady finally get his team into the Super Bowl winning on the road in the AFC champ game? Talk about a great script if this dude, this team, won it all after all the media crap that has surrounded them. Home field has to count here, right folks? IF Brady wins in KC Sunday, it may be an auto play for me with Brady and the Patriots in the Super Bowl after losing last year. No way in h@ll they lose two superbowls in a row right folks? As much as I want Brees to win it all and if they got there, it will be tough going against Brady after they lost last year to a backup. So many angles, so many polarizing figures in this one. The NFL got this one right folks as they did in the NFC as well. At some point the torch will be handed over....is that Sunday or do we see Brady get one step closer to #6. He has one more year left imo and that’s it but IF he wins Sunday and they win number 6, I think he is done. Can’t wait. This Sunday will be my biggest play of the year. I’m in no rush though considering we may see some line movement this week; most likely not though....Thiughts, insight, angles on this game? All the best.

Please the Patriots are dismal on the road in playoffs
And the could Brady possibly lose two in a row no way lol
Well the Patriots won 3 Super bowls with Brady throwing 5 INT's including a pick 6 , and won another one with him throwing for 120 yards , so i don't know will he have a horse shoe up his A s s again ?

Are the super bowls not road games? Well he has won 5 of those. The one he lost last year? 505 yards- most by a QB ever in the Super Bowl. Along with the fact that he has not thrown a pick in the playoffs since that pick six. Your nothing more than a garden troll. You will be gone after Sunday and the pats prove you wrong again

I think the KC is a road game no ?
The 505 yards go watched that game again he throws 5 balls that were easy picks 3 first half crossing routes he throws behind the receiver 1 hit the defender in shoulder pad the other two hits the defenders in the hands
Brady 4th quarter 1 score game , hits the Philly corner back in the hands would have had easy pick 6 he drops the ball
Brady throws another pass no one but two Philly defenders they crash into each other the ball falls to ground lol
In that 505 his completion rate was in the 50's that's horrible
he threw the ball 50 times
He got 80 yards and a TD on one screen behind line of scrimmage
He sucked again you probably play fantasy football not one offensive holding penalty in the game along playing indoors they made a championship game a flag football game

It’s all about THIS year gents. I think both QBs like their matchup when looking at the opposing defense. What will make or break this game will be time of possession and getting the stops in the red zone. Tony Romo touched on something very interesting and I couldn’t agree more....he said Belly will show Mahomes and Reid something they most likely haven’t seen. There really hasn’t been a blueprint on how to stop Mahomes but will we see it on Sunday? The KC defense played extremely well against Indy but can they do it again? If I were to point to one guy on each team it’s gonna be Kelce for KC because my guess is that Belly tries to take Hill out of the equation. For NE, NE goes as far as White goes. Edelman and Gronk should get good matchups. Styles makef fights and this is gonna be fun to watch.

Also it’s hilarious your saying that I play fantasy? What does that have to do with anything. Tom was one of the absolute worst fantasy qbs this year. Wouldn’t that make me think he was bad? Go back to your hole

Was referring to silverstone the troll in all comments. I do think this game is going to be great, and just find it hilarious dudes like this try to act like Tom is not good and is going to turn into a pumpkin like Andrew luck.
I will stop the spam on your page and gl on your plays

Yes ..its all about this year. There's no doubt Tom is great and he will have a good game...Hes no Andrew Luck that's for sure. But since this is a road game.. lets take a look at his/teams 8 game offensive and defensive road series using a pure points statistical analyses
Opp / Off-Def / OPR
Pitt 10-17 24.5
Mia 33-34 16
Jets 27-13 13
Tenn 10-34 19
Buff 15-6 12
Bears 24-31 20.5
Det 3-26 16
Jags 13-31 22
135-192 18
as you can see the teams offensive and defensive pure points-point differential is negative..even if we go to the last 4 road game series ..its still runs negative
135-192 = - 57 pure point differential.. div by 8 gms is -7 pure points per game. Since NE was at a disadvantage ea game because they were on the road, we add 3 pts to ea rd gm(24)...now your -57 becomes (-33) divided by 8 rd games = -4 pure points per game. NE is losing to an AOPR of 18 by -4 pppg giving them a 14 road rating overall. These are real #'s and as close as it comes to a mathmatical perspective of what the true offensive and defensive road performance of NE is during the overall season in that 8 gm road series. The defense is giving up more points than the offense is scoring through out the season using the 8 game road series clip. On an average per game basis the ave pure points against( ppa) is 23.3. The ave ppf( pure points for) is 17. Now of course we need to use a recent form, teams change form wk 1 so...
...Lets tighten it up a little using the last 4 game Rd series (Offense > 80-99 < defense ) that's a negative point differential of -19. Add the 3pt for ea rd gm( 12pts) you now have -7 divided by the 4 gms = -1.75.. meaning NE's losing to their AOPR of 18 by -1.75 pure points per game giving them a 16 road rating for the AFC Champ gm. That's not good folks...Some of the best teams in the past would have a positive point differential and a 25- 32 road rating...
Use your eye test and go study the tape on all of NE's road games ( if you have it) vs those teams they lost to and the teams they beat..buffalo and the jets ?..lol..2 bottom feeders of the AFC East that they have owned for years.. and the Bears. The Bears gave them the game because they gave the ball away and NE took advantage.
3 road wins 5 road loses >Jags/Det/Tenn/Miami/Pitt the last team NE played on the road was Pitt a team they have owned for 6 years...and Pitt almost lost to Cinn one of the worst defenses in the NFL with a rookie QB in Driscoll..You will see the eye test and the numbers both co-inside. New England > Jekyll and Hyde team from Home. ) I could do NE home game numbers..the difference is astonishing. The advantage they have in this game..is that they played KC already and they will be able to exploit KC's weaknesses on defense that Luck could not so it will be a GAME ..maybe another shootout..but in the end..imo..KC prevails As far as injuries..at this point and time everyone is injured..the bye helped both clubs.
Of course teams get better as the season progresses. However, in this case NE has not progressed better on the road..its basically the same as you can see if you use the recent form of their last 4 road games or 5 / 6 / 7 / 8..It all comes up to one hypothesis. New England is really not that good on the road this year. They will get their points and make some big plays...but with Mahomes and the HFA for the Chiefs who are playing with revenge with one of the best offenses in the NFL...They win the game. I may even throw another Dime on it.. I was throwing dimes around last week like crazy with Andrew Suck and Phyllis Rivers...Why not. A Star is going to be born Sunday. Patrick "The Trick" Mahomes...Lay it !

Wizer: good insight amigo. There’s a lot of bait in this game and people will have to figure out which way to go: history or new sheriff! Very rarely do we truly get the 4 best teams in football going at it for all the marbles. Well.....we have it this Sunday! Can’t wait!

Ohhhhh the media.....it has begun! The read on Mahomes and how clutch he is.....Brady’s words about “people think we suck” or “I just like winning”...Belly’s approach towards the weather and how it won’t affect them.....the “touching” ESPN special in sports center about how “it all started” with Brady and Belly....we can keep going but it’s nothing more than noise especially when ESPN is pulling the strings, at least for me. They are selling Sunday’s matchup hard and they are pulling out all stops. From now until then, I’m sure we’ll hear about Berry and what’s he’s overcome in recent years and I’m sure we’ll hear all about how Gronk is “washed up”. Put whatever trust in these stories you want but understand.....these stories should deflect from what each is about THIS YEAR. The data is there, the history is there and the polarizing figures are ample bit come Sunday it simply comes down to one thing: Are you going with culture and history or are you going with “the next coming and the passing of the torch”? I don’t know if I’ve ever been so intrigued by this weekends matchups particularly in the AFC. The end of the road is near for Brady and after getting beat in a lost fumble last year, will Brady get his last ring THIS YEAR or will he be the stepping stone for the the new sheriff who is the leagues MVP? Are we being distracted by Brady or are we being distracted by Mahomes? It’s a big question! Tread carefully with your ESPN and your FOX this week.

I would respectfully disagree with the public being on the Patriots.
Love reading the assessments and the statistics. Never had all this info years back, fascinating the different ways folks are disssecting the games. I learned the game a much different way, but I am impressed with work.
Thanks for your time!
Yea to me there's no doubt the public is on KC this game.

Sorry Achilles I just couldn't resist but anyway back to your thread....I just can't do it Bud and though I'm not sure to whom your final play or plays will be on this game I sure hope it's a prop and I have a feeling it will be because you yourself also has to be uncertain to where this game ends up at as most are and you and myself as well wouldn't be surprised if one or the other team won....It will be that good!..Good luck this weekend Amigo I will be trolling your threads to possibly jump on board with one of your prop bets on this game.
