I haven't followed this team's offseason very closely even though i'm in the Pac NW half of the time but I will say this.
1. Last year the offensive line was horrid.
2. The defense will continue to take steos back with key losses.
3. They've had no running game to speak of in recent years.
4. Wilson can't do it himself, especially given 1 & 3.
I haven't looked at the season totals but I will say that season total odds, like all odds, are most influenced by public perception. So teams that are generally perceived to be good by the general public, the "squares", will often lead to a number that is an advantage for the "sharps".
(I hate the terms "square" and ""sharp".) but I digress.
So back to season totals. You're always gonna have high season win totals for a team like the Patriots. They are the Patriots though and a high total is always befitting. Some teams who because of public perception, and because of large fan bases, often have skewed numbers, unfittingly high numbers that can benefit the sharp bettor:
My Dallas Cowboys and...the Seattle Seahawks. Again, I haven't looked at the number but i'm willing to bet it's around 9 when it should be around 7. I don't see this being even a .500 team
