36-27-2 ytd netting +60.5 units...
4-4 POD's -8 units...


All of the sudden I can't pick my nose going 3-8 netting -79 units the past 2 days. As always yesterdays thread below:



Starting to look at the card right now. My wagers will be on the smaller side today until I getting out of the this mini 2 day rut. Be back shortly...

Linesmakers caught up pretty fast.  I think I hit 55 of 80 at one point.  The last couple of days have been splitsville, with a couple of losses because 5Dimes put up a number that had already moved through most of the value.  Might be a good time to pull back a little and pick spots.

1st play is:

Louisiana State -15 for 10 units... South Alabama last season had 5 out of conference road games. They went 1-4su and 1-4ats in those games with their lone win coming against Georgia Southern, a team they were favored by 5 pts to beat as Georgia Southern had just 2 wins against D-1 schools last year (Georgia St in OT & The Citadel). However South Alabama's 4 losses came by an average of 27 points as they got slammed by @Southern Miss as +12.5 dogs (58-93), @UAB as +13 dogs (58-82), @Alabama as +15.5 dogs (50-72) & @Louisville as +24.5 dogs (70-97). Also slammed in the middle of those beat down's was a home game for South Alabama as +4.5 dogs vs LSU in a game LSU won (80-65). This year South Alabama lost their top scorer as he transferred to USF (Martino Brock 14.2ppg) as they also lost 3 other starters from last year's team. South Alabama has 2 transfer's that are playing lots of minutes this season so far in Xavier Roberson (TCU transfer) & Trey Anderson (St Mary's transfer). However the 2 have not helped the losing cause thus far as they are a combined 11 for 45 (24%) from the field and 3 for 13 (23%) from 3 pt land. Not exactly what you want to see from 2 kids that are #2 & #3 in minute's played per game for their club. Meanwhile LSU has most definitely improved from last season's 11 win team as they brought in freshman star Anthony Hickey who seems to be running the point excellently in the uptempo fashion along with 7 footer Justin Hamilton (Iowa St transfer), & 2nd year guards Ralston Turner & Andre Stringer. The LSU bench is a deep one lead by 2 seniors a freshman and a 3rd year player all contributing more than 10min per game. I just can't see how South Alabama can answer anything LSU throws in their direction tonight. I have LSU winning this game by 20 easily...POD


I'm still looking for more wagers, but if I find any I will not wager anything more than 5 units...

I recall playing USA in that game last year, on a straight LSU fade.  I think the Tigers were up by 30 at one point.   As you note, a worse LSU team beat a better USA team by 15 in Mobile last year.  Jags are last, or damn close, in the nation in FG%.

LSU was up by as much as 31 pts early in the 2nd half of that game. I could see LSU winning this game by 25 or more easily...

Good luck Odds.  I'm with you on the play.  I took FSU against South Alabama on sunday and FSU smashed them by 41 i believe when they were 20 point favorites.

Hey Odds what do you think about Memphis? I think they should take Georgetown but am wary cause the lack of covering yesterday. 
Also thinking about Kansas. This team looks really good an looks like they're coming together. Last night they killed UCLA besides that early 2H run by the Bruins. I think Duke will have problems with Robinson inside but only worry is if the Kansas guards can hold their own. I know the can't stop A. Rivers but just not let him go off. 
A big part of me also wants to take Kansas for the simple fact that Duke never covers. I don't think they have covered this year. Yeah they get victories but never cover the spread.

What worries me is these young players on Memphis appear to be hard up on being coached. Josh Pastner clearly does not have this team under his control. Josh is a young coach and his players are running the show on that team right now. Memphis has all the talent in the world this season but until they learn a half court offense (Requires solid coaching) taking them against upper tier teams is going to be a scary wager to watch (As we've already seen twice)...


As for the Kansas question I was more impressed with Duke's ability to beat UM's defense than I was of Kansas beating a soft UCLA team. I would favor Duke in tonight's game...

3rd play is:

Oklahoma St. ML (-130) for 5 units... Stanford got outplayed by Colorado st for the better part of the 1st half back on November 15th before rallying in the 2nd half to get the win. Besides that game Stanford has wins over UC-Davis, Fresno st & Central Arkansas (4-11su combined). Oklahoma st plays solid defense and is a much better team. Oklahoma st should be favored by more points in this game on a neutral floor, but risking the ML is a wager I like here in this spot...

Under 142 is the correct play in the Mem/GTown game. 3rd game in 3 days....road games for both teams.....lots of distractions....flying home (i think) for turkey day......lots of shots coming up short....memphis just played a double ot game.....GTown will not wanna run with these guys.....Memphis will struggle with a half court game....
