Any thoughts on which is better? Also, if staying at one or the other do I need to request/$20 trick a certain room type? I am comped in the hollywood hip at PH or the luxury at Paris (both standard rooms I believe). Any help is appreciated
Also - how long is that walk to Hardrock from either hotel?

I've stood at PH and I thought it was a nice room...you have the miracle shops...some decent places to eat...cool bars. Both places are far walks to the hardrock since its off the strip.

if you are under 35 or going with friends, then stay at PH. if you are over 35 or going with you gf/wife, then stay at Paris.
Under 35 and going for a bachelor party. Most of the guys are staying at Hardrock but figured I'd save a few extra dollars if I was comped at PH or Paris so I'm staying there. Booked PH for now. Have a wifey at home so partying isn't super important but a lively atmosphere is a must. I also read that the $20 trick is about 50/50 there so we'll see.

I'd recommend PH. Just seems like a more active casino and I enjoyed our room there. Got a free upgrade to a little bit bigger room than the standard last time just for asking. I originally asked if there were any fountain view rooms available for complimentary upgrade and they said nope but we can give you this. Enjoyed the stay there.

Will stay at PH and def eat at Paris for a few meals...also only about 1.5 miles to hardrock where most of my friends will be so it works out perfectly.

i used the $20 trick at both placed. both offered a bigger room and strip view. decent restaurants at PH and in the mall surrounding it, but stay away from Planet Dailies, unless you are having breakfast there.

I stayed at the RIO one time. I had low expectations but they gave me a suite and the room was huge. The bathroom area was as big as a standard hotel sleeping area. I have no complaints.

1st I heard of a $50 handshake but sounds like it was worth it --- I was leaning toward a $20 one. .
