They have been playing the same style for years... It's just that they have been getting all the luck to happen all at the right time in these playoffs. These have been typical Kings games with the exception of thier new ability to score more than 2 goals a game in some of these playoff games when needed to.
Add to that the fact that they have been free of any serious injuries and it makes for a great potential for a team like them in a playoff run.
It just goes to show that all a team has to do is get in... be on a hot streak... and stay healthy (especially star players)... and then as you already know... anything can and does happen.
It also requires very good goaltending for most teams... and Quick has been both hot and lucky so far.
Just like the planets lining up with the rift in the Milky Way in 2012... everything has lined up so far for the Kings.
Last night I think they got ahead of themselves... After game 3 when I heard Dustin Brown's post game locker room statements I knew he was not in the correct state of mind to sweep. They have to think and behave as if they are trying to win ONE game... not one game from winning the Cup... Like in track and field... Run THROUGH the finish line... Not TO the finish line.
Here's to them getting the freight train back on track in game 5...
They have shown in the Canucks and Yotes series that the series clincher is the hardest to win... they just need to try and win each shift, period by period and the final score will take care of itself then.
I would be lying if I said I was not nervous about NJ's ability to come back from the dead (remember the Flyers being up 3-1 a few yrs back in the ECFinals...??? That's ONE of the reasons that I dislike NJ so much). It will not be a cakewalk for the Kings but I BELIEVE they WILL Get 'er Done.
Then, hopefully we can discuss any kind of repeat.

There is no hatred yet which is jut so weird to see for a Finals. I mean everytime Doughty has the puck someone should be racing the bash him into the boards. That isn't really happening. There are no 1 on 1 battles that intrigue me.
I love the playoffs and this year overall hasn't been that bad but I find it hard to stick with these finals. Last night I found myself watching the fucking Blue Jays while the game was going on. I always look to defend hockey but it cannot even compare to the NBA Conference Finals right now.
On top of that I have to listen to Glenn Healy which is added torture. The guy makes me want to stab a knife in my ear. I cannot stand him.
