Battle for LA.... Anaheim plays physical and gets the win. With Quick in the pipes whats his save %, I think it's below 90 percent. He got on a roll with LAs run last year but he was never really a top ten goaltender until then. There have been plenty of goalies who have put up a wall for a few games or even run the table like Quick did. Jaroslav Halak comes to mind of recent when he knocked the Caps out of the post season. ( who were the highest scoring team in the league ) Halak faced to 40+sog back to back games and had two shutouts. Then Habs took on my beloved Pittsburgh Penguins who were so favored and primed for the repeat. If memory serves I think Halak had a 63 save game that had gone into overtime and the yes the Habs got the W. And as luck would have it Jaro came back to earth and the whole BRUINS team was waitin for him. I dont care what anyone says they played a mediocre west coast team who shouldnt of been there ( I think his dad paid the coach ) Don't get me wrong I find Bruins hockey entertaining, I like the physical rather than finesse type of play. Reminds me of Hextall and the Legion of Doom... Hey why didn't Philly ever win one? Go Ducks!

Wow, Jones, you are an idiot. Two posts today and you show an incredible bias and lack of knowledge. You didn't know Taylor Hall was suspended and you call the Conn Smythe winner a fluke. Not sure how many Kings games you have watched over the last three years but I would guess it's limited considering your opinion on Quick. 35+ wins in three straight years and twenty shutouts is as good as any goaltender in the NHL. Not a top ten performer until last year?! Oh, and his save percentage is at .906, and given the early season losses of defensmen Matt Greene, Willie Mitchell, and Alec Martinez I would say Quick and the Kings have played admirably. Kings game plan revolves around puck control and cycling. When they work as a unit they win: just like the last three games have shown.

SD was the best!! When have you not seen the Smythe trophy ever not go to the Stanley cup champs? Quick was in the top ten goalies once and that was last year... only....

Take a look at NHL.com for stats and records and you will realize what a dumb-behind you are Jones. In the three years that Quick has been the starter he has placed 4th, 5th, 6th in wins and in the top 5 in shout-outs. Last year he recorded 10 of those. Lifetime .916 SAA and 2.31 GA, ya, he is a flash in the pan. If you are going to spat out a stupid argument at least back it up with some stats, or logic.

Sorry Stevo, I did and last year was his only trip to the top ten... I ain't readin fantasy hockey standings. Went back to his pre starting gig and nope not there. He did make the top 25 in goalies to finish the year with best save %, last year and he is either 25 years old and finished 22nd. Or he is 22 and finished 25th, it could go either way... And are you related to Quick or something?
