Gimme Va Tech +7. Miami just coming off first loss of season getting blown out by florida state. Lost Duke Johnson for the season. I think Miami will come out flat. Va Tech's D is stellar and stephen morris is somewhat inconsistent. Logan Thomas and that offense just have too get something going. I think Va Tech will win SU.

Ranked teams losing their first game by 30+ usually fails to cover the following week. Maryland got blown out by FSU then failed to cover against Virginia. Clemson blown out by FSU, failed to cover against Maryland. Here we have Miami in a similar situation, so the line is pretty much spot on. I'll take Virginia Tech first half just to be safe.

I know a lot of yous (in my mafioso voice) are saying the Hurricanes are beat up with the loss of Duke Johnson. Listen up, there's one thing that teams in the state of Florida have and that's depth at the skill position. We may not produce the best QB's and Offensive Lineman but we damn sure breed speed!!!
Let me tell you one name to watch tonight...Dallas Crawford. He will get the majority of carries for the Canes tonight and he will make a statement for himself and the Canes tonight following the beat down my Noles gave them last week. Crawford is a form high school QB/DB turned running back. His number one target in high school was one Sammy Watkins which you all may have heard of. This kid is the real deal and is a more than suitable replacement for Duke.
Next topic of importance, while Va. Tech does have a stout defense they've given up over 100 rushing yards four times this year and most recently gave up 196 to Boston College. The Canes want to play in the ACC championship and want nothing more than to play spoiler to Florida State by beating them in that game. It would be fitting if they could pull off that feat because that's the way football goes in the state of Florida. Now, in order to get there you can't lose to Va. Tech.
The only variable about the Canes is Mr. Stephen Morris, quite frankly I think he holds their offense back. As he goes they go, and when he doesn't the Canes are flat. However, on the flip side Va. Tech's offense and Logan Thomas are even worse.
Give me the speed and better offense of Miami and a very embarrassed team looking to come out and prove that last week was an anomaly.

Thanks man but it ended up being a good pick. Va Tech blew em out. I knew they would win SU, Miami was the most overrated top 10 team we've seen in the past few years. I bet against them again also this past weekend I took Duke. I figured Miami would win but Duke would cover but I was not expecting Duke too beat them down like that.
