THERE YA GO!!!!!! now THATS how you "take your man out"
I love that stuff. guess Im 'old school'. though you might not like him but Gattuso is whom comes to mind for me (perhaps im biased) but that "I-dont-care-what-you-do-you-arent-BLEEPING-getting-by-me" attitude.
the European clubs of years past were all like that, theyd put down their own mothers if necessary. Germans were no choir-boys in that area, ur lads neither.
i bet a lot of those former players are sick to their stomachs of the "weak" stuff today.
nowadays you just blow into Floppers ear and he goes sideways .

those african clubs. from the shoulders down nobody rivals them in athleticism, not the germans. not the brazilians. NOBODY.
but from the shoulders on upwards? you never know whats going on up in those parts. i ALWAYS include one of them to advance. always.......... and then go buy the biggest bottle of aspirin in the store. .

Those are fighting words bollox haha idk i always enjoyed europa as i like learning more and more abt the smaller clubs of europe.. Also the only cup my russian teams have any chance of winning lol
Ohhhh man really hoping the host nation is finished with its preperations, last report i saw a few weeks ago on stadiums and infrastructure wasnt promising, a few cities the stadiums are just about finished, now they need to focus on surrounding areas (pedestrian walkways, roads need paving, transit logistics stuff like that)
Already have my eye on a few of the day two matches.. Day one friends of mine are trolling me already how they cant wait to bet saudis +whatevrr it is now. We all know that Putin had the king over in moscow to discuss this very match being fixed ?

ohhh geeez..... the stories from africa. (laughing)
i cant remember which WC it was waay back but one time someone came out of the locker room at the half without his jersey on.
just take a few secs and think about this. walks onto the field and the ref approaches him points to his chest, Sunshine looks down and ........ gosh.... that was a Kodak moment.
but this is what "kills me" buddy .... no only did he leave his shirt behind but NOBODY ON HIS TEAM/ASSISTANTS noticed to tell him either.
i guess they were all deep in thought after the halftime lecture.
i cant remember which year this was. reminds me of that song i heard once with those lyrics "bless the rains in africa"
these teams can take you for a ride, and make you look like an absolute genius at times too.
AND IN OTHER NEWS........................................
(crying softly)
Hart wasnt named to the 23 man Three Lion squad
byt the way Bollox.... you gonna watch the wedding tomorrow????

aww.. stop being a spoil-sport buddy. with that kind of avatar.... he can put up his cooking recipes for all i care.
its a helluva lot better than looking at my shadow or your armpits ehh?
(cork popping. here.... have a gulp)
lets enjoy gods creations for a bit.
in other news...... i dunno, i give belgium the credit due. considering their location, thats two big "waves" of talent coming out of there, not just one golden group getting older (& better) together. ya just cant go from "not applicable" to "one of the favorites" in 8 years time. so they must be doing something right. and their youth teams have been faring well too.
should get Ganda in here. i dont follow belgium on a day-to-day basis. so its best to defer. but thats my perspective of them.
ill start my groups once Serie A done.
48,960 minutes to go.
Spec I could write a small novella on Belgium and their shortcomings. But for now, I'll stick with 2:
1. Same as last WC and EC, these are a group of hyper talented individuals, but they have such a hard time playing as a team with a do or die team mentality. I don't know why that is still an issue, maybe because at their clubs, all these guys are top players, used to getting catered to or getting the team to accommodate their respective talents, is it just ego's? I don't know. But they lack the will to fight for each other, they lack a killer mentality.
2. Martinez and his 3-4-3, Fellaini and Witsel can't hold midfield, it is vulnerable, and with Meunier and Carrasco on the wings, yeah, great for attacking play and getting the ball up front, but if they have to fall back and defend? Disaster. Courtois and others have criticized the lack of a strategic way of thinking, you can't outscore your way out of every problem, against super organized sides Belgium will always fall apart.
I'm hoping for a magical run, but wouldn't be surprised if it's only quarter finals for us.

Bollox , i remmy the convo earlier in season we had regarding Hart, that was light humor on my part. im sure you are relieved.
Ganda ditto. appreciate you taking the time to stop by and chime in. your comments nailed it on the head. we'll discuss more in depth another time. team cohesion is very important and must be taken under consideration. as of right now, I still have your boys going deep. and until I can find a reason NOT to, theyre still on the board for possibly semis.
yesterday a bunch of buddies & I got together primarily to discuss todays card but also someone threw out this stumper...... ready for another TRIVIA??? (lets see just how good you are)
Since the new century, whom are the only 2 players(starters) to have pulled off the 'Ultimate Double'? (aka the Champions Leauge title + World Cup)
i actually got one of them right, but stupidly missed the 'easier' one. i actually had to use the computer when i got home and suprisingly...... its a pretty RARE feat.

strange in that i had Roberto Carlos correct back in 02 he won with Real & Brazil., but forgot about Khedira 4 years ago (cant remember if he was a regular starter for Germany) i still dont believe theres only been 2.
makes sense tho cuz I know Inter won CL in '10 with stupid Mou leading them with a bunch of non-italians. and 06 is moot.
a massive amount have a shot at it this year.
i know you dont want to talk about it in here, and weve been poking fun at them; but if you havent already, you should take a hard look at those african representatives. one of them have advanced in every WC. trying to figure out which one is a circus ride though. the upside far exceeds the risk which makes it worth the while.

Pele also said brazil gonna win in 06, 10, 14 too....... still waiting on that one
we got our annual "picnic" with friends, families, great food and catch up with the goings on... and ... of course, our 'roundtable' discussion with WC and we rundown every team. so looking forward to it.

just re-read this. Lets summarize this mindless drivel.
what have I learned from this thread? (besides my OUTSTANDING insights) there were a few key points which slipped past my radar. which went un-announced, but alas.... my eagle eyes discovered the needle in the haystacks:
Whom is the ONLY country to have hoisted the trophy whom did NOT win their Group stage?
I promise I didnt google this,( emd )
i'm guessing South Africa?
South Africa Bollox??? SOUTH AFRICA?????? ummmmmmmmmm......
(and you cant use the excuse of english being your second language like that guy once did in here last year)
and Duece.....
"We all know that Putin had the king over in moscow to discuss this very match being fixed"
FIXED???? i thought you were "above" that. perhaps this was during their oil trade discussions.
tsk tsk tsk on you both. (laughing). Spec is starting to wonder --- yes, Im talking the 3rd person here ---- about you two.
FIFA , VAR, FIXED. VAR, FIXED, FIFA. FIXED, FIFA, VAR.
