Rumor has it that tomorrow morning Alvarez is going to announce that he will be the head coach for Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. Apparently, the senior captains personally asked him to do it. I know for most across the country this won't be that big of a deal, but for a Badger fan it would be great to see Barry coach these guys up and get another Rose Bowl win.
Stanford will be a tough matchup, no doubt, but there style of play will be more "comfortable" for Wisconsin than playing a wide open spread attack. Looking more forward to the game now than I was before knowing of Bielema's departure..

Yeah, I am happy to see it. Apparently the players are pretty jacked up about it. Barry has obviously done a lot of great things at Wisconsin and this move will be appreciated by a lot of people.
Some have said how this shows a lack of trust in the current coaching staff to lead and I disagree. People forget that Bielema had a huge turnover in assistant coaches last year and there are 5 new assistant coaches on this team that have only been at UW for 1 season. Plus, BA is not sure which ones might leave in the next week or so to either go with Bielema or join Doeren at NC State...and once the senior captains approached him and asked if he would do this he did not hesitate to say he would be honored to. Madison is buzzing right now...
It should make for an exciting game and Stanford is a good football team. This will be fun to watch...
