Washington will return a lot of starters, along with getting some back from injury. Browning returns @ qb.....it looked like he had an off year but a lot had to do with losing targets to injury & not wanting to force the ball. He still ended up one of the top rated passers in D1. DT Gaines says he's returning as is AA LT Trey Adams (injured early).......Gaskin is still undecided.......& much like two years ago, they'll have one of the best 2ndarys in the country. They only had about 15 seniors on the roster.

By my count a total of 111 underclassmen have declared for the NFL draft.
In a previous post ( post # 9 ) I mentioned that due to graduations and early declarations , a number of teams WILL lose , or gain some production due to the number of career starts lost or added. Some on this forum do not believe that or dismiss that data as unimportant ,....teams just reload . The fact is that teams losing a significant number of productive players can lose upwards of 30 % or more of offensive or defensive production from the previous year. You can go back to any prior year's data to see this. While my capping strategy accounts for changes in player grades and gains / losses in production , most cappers do not as they feel it is not important, or do not have access to a method of grading teams rosters. Gains or losses at key positions translate to points gained or lost vs any opponent. Without knowing a teams production capability to begin the season , you are likely just "guessing " that team A will be 34 points better than team B in week 1. Without knowing a teams probability to produce points as well as the teams probability to prevent the other team from scoring , you may likely be betting into some bad numbers in week 1.
Good Luck in 2018
Helping Kama'aina to beat their " Local " since 1994.

I agree Michigan has a chance to win the natty, but they will need a few things to break their way. If they're going to win the national championship they're probably going to need Shea Patterson to be the starting QB, but they will also need him to be a much better player than he was at Ole Miss.
Michigan has a pretty tough schedule this season, not only do they open @ Notre Dame, they close the season @ Ohio State. They also have a 3 week stretch vs Wisconsin, @ Michigan State, then Penn St. They do get Wisconsin and Penn State at home, but it's a brutal schedule.
