Cutler apparently flew to LA to audition with FOX as an analyst in the booth for the 2017 season. They are looking for an analyst to fill John Lynch's spot after he left to be GM of the 49ers. They're looking for someone to work alongside Kevin Burkhardt. I myself am a play by play man and here are my thoughts on this:
1. If FOX hires Cutler and thinks he can be their Tony Romo i'm afraid I have some bad news. Romo at least has somewhat of a personality and Jay doesn't
2. If you hire Jay he should be on the #7 or #8 broadcast team working with a Joe Davis or a Tim Brando to let him get his feet wet
3. If FOX wants a great replacement to work with Burkhardt i'd just put Chris Spielman in that role. He did games on FOX LY with Stockton and in a 3 man booth with Thom Brennaman and Charles Davis

I don't care either way.......I'm not a Cutler fan, but then I never had to care since I'm not a Bears fan. He should have enough to just walk away & party the rest of his life.

Dont really understand the way the networks are kerking off all over themselves over either of these guys.
Tony Romo was a good qb, not great by any stretch but an above average qb. So that all of a sudden makes him one of the best and most wanted analysts in the country? huh? I;m not even saying Simms was awesome but I just don't see why all of a sudden Romo breaking down a game is just must see tv
Cutler on the other hand makes going after Romo look amazing. Why in the world would a network want this guy? any network at all? At least Romo is friendly and a cowboy. Cutler was a complete failure as a qb everywhere he went, had the worst visual who cares attitude in history and really just is an absolute nothing. What in the world makes these executives think anyone would wanna see him in the booth? I'd rather see Dennis Miller back in the booth.
All of it is just so ridiculous and another sign of how the twitter world is running the show now. Its pathetic
