CBS sports is reporting The Sun Belt will add Idaho and New Mexico State as football only members and they add Appalachian State and Georgia Southern for all sports. With the addition of the 4 schools they will have a sun belt title game in 2014. Here's how the league will look
1. Appalachian State
2. Georgia Southern
3. Idaho
4. New Mexico State
5 WKU
6. Arkansas State
7 Texas State
8. Georgia State
9. Troy
10 South Alabama
11 Louisiana Lafayette
12. ULM
Now for those of you who will ask why aren't Idaho and Nm State joining for all sports its because UT-Arlington and Arkansas Little Rock are in the Sun belt for every sport but football So in 2014 there will be 3 new D-1 teams as Old Dominion joins C-USA
1 new d-1 team in 2013 Georgia State
3.new d-1 teams in 2014 App.State Ga.southern and ODU in C-USA
1 new d-1 team in 2015 UNC Charlotte
so by 2015 there will be 129 D-1 teams
Texas State and GA.State join the Sun belt this upcoming season
I've got a headache typing all of this hope i helped guys. Your thoughts?

Pack, a shot or two of Jack should help with that headache. Good work. I generally try to avoid betting Sun Belt games as the quality of play in the conference generally negates ones handicapping skills. But I'll keep an eye out for an edge, and if it's there, I'll hit it. Thanks again bud

no problem wiseguy i myself don't bet the sunbelt as i had a post during the season about why they were added games. But I'm happy for Idaho and NM State that they don't have to drop down to d-2. And for App.State and Ga.Southern who i believe won't have 2 much trouble in D-1 football. I think the Sun Belt did a great job adding the 4 teams
Also wanted to say i don't drink alcohol wiseguy. I have nothing against those who do but i jon't don't drink. Mtn.Dew,Coca-Cola and Dr.Pepper for me

when i lost that Houston-UTEP game i thought about drinking. Houston was up 45-14 as 13.5 pt faves and only won 45-35 i was pissed that day and still amBut i ended up +$5,505 on the season so i'll take that every day

I generally don't spend much time celebrating the wins or mourning the losses until the season is over. In my case, I think drinking and handicapping do not necessarily work well together. I don't want to take away my edge.

well cam i follow the sun belt but don't bet the games as i had a post LY about why the sun belt games are all added games. Think about it you could bet 50 grand on Akron but you're limited on how much you bet on troy BTW cam i've picked your guys high the last 2 years what happened to troy

Well JDN up until the last 2 years Troy had been the top team for a few years in the Sun Belt. But IMO they've underachieved the last 2 years. Sun Belt had their best year LY and most of those teams have left/or will leave for C-USA

That is plausible and intriguing. The Montana schools are strong, Sac State beats a D-1 team every year, it seems. EWU, NAU and Weber have strong football traditions PSU, too. Why not?

It was a tongue-in-cheek comment...............but it seems like every year a couple more teams make the jump up........only a matter of time before there's 150 D-I teams in CFB.
