NOT GONNA ANSWER THAT... AS IT'S A LONG STANDING JOKE I HAVE IN HERE... THAT SOME ONE CAN SAY THE SKY IS BLUE AND SOMEONE IN HERE WILL SAY WELL "YOUR A IDIOT MY REC IS 500-1 AND THE SKY IS DEFINATLY NOT BLUE" .."THANK ME LATER"!!!

In a way you are both right...
The one argument is that you shouldn't make a 2 team parlay if you are even considering hedging after the first part wins
the second argument is after the fact...the parlay has already been made and the first half was a winner...so the other person was right by helping him lock in some profit...
So hopefully the creator of this thread is thankfull for both arguments because he was helped in what he asked for and now he knows not to wager on a parlay in this manner...

{itch black I don't think most people understood thet the guy put in a 2 team parlay with no intention of hedging. two games two different times...then the first part of the parlay win's now all he has left is to hit the second part so he wants to ensure a profit that's where i came in ...but the skewed point was he never intended to hedge the parlay in the first place. he was jus playing a 2 team parlay !!!

Right...that's why I am saying that the info you supplied him with was helpful
but the other info is helpful also because now the individual knows not to do this in the future because if he was tempted to hedge once he will probably be tempted to do it again...then he will remember this instance and hopefully not make the parlay to begin with

I need the all caps dude to go back and reread his posts, picking out about 6 dozen spelling and punctuation errors then define irony to me because insulting anyone's intelligence while typing like a 2/3 retard is exactly that. The point of our suggestion was that is stategically flawed in any scenario to hedge once he's won the first game. We gave him advice despite the fact that he had won the first game...yes. Thats because the odds still come into play if the scenario ever happens again. This site isn't full of millionaire know-it-all's. Just a handful of people who know how insanely stupid it is to hedge a 2 team fucking parlay. If 8 people come in here and suggest its dumb, but the one guy WHO TYPES LIKE THIS AND CALLS US MORANS disagrees, who do you really think is strategically right?
Daywalker didn't provide any brilliant strategy. Any idiot who can count can give you a middle ground to make some money. I was actually trying to provide insite so you wouldn't want to hedge again, because you can see its a bad strategy. Since you asked the question to begin with, myself and rangers assumed this was something you may repeat...which is why we included odds without the first game being a win. Why would you hedge this time and not next time? If you weren't confident in your parlay games why would you even include them? Its still a parlay if the first game happened...strategy doesn't change. ITS ALWAYS A BAD IDEA TO HEDGE A 2 TEAMER.
Set up a poll if you'd like. Ask anybody who's been gambling long term. Ask any other forum. Ask a statistician. Ask a fucking monkey if you'd like, b/c you two are about the only ones left out in the dark. See how ones doesn't have an apostrophe separating the e and s daywalker? Its because one doesn't possess anything. Learn to use them

Why do you keep saying most people? We all read it. The baseball game was at 4. Its sunday, and Braves/Nationals was the SNB game so even without reading I can desipher that the game result was over. Which leads to the next question. If he was going into the parlay with no intention of hedging, why did he parlay the two teams? If he didn't like the over why was it even selected? If there was no intention of hedging why is he even considering it? It isn't something you do once and forget about. I promise you, had he hedged and saved a ripped up ticked and made a little money the next half a dozen times he would've done the exact same thing because it saved him once.
You act like this is some unheard of concept. You dont' think people play 1pm and 4pm nfl games? Or bet a noon CFB game and then bet the nightcap with it? My gosh, thank goodness you're here to tell me. You can parlay different games at different time! Eureka! The bottom line is this, and anyone who knows anything about gambling can agree. This entire time he's being laid odds of 3-1 (25%) The bookie is already collecting juice so he's being paid 2.6-1 (28% roughly). Now, despite the fact that he's won the first game, you want him to actually lay the bookie 2/3 odds (400 profit, 600 bet)? Who cares if he didn't intend to do it. If he's that hard up for money he shouldn't have laid 6 bills on a two teamer that he wasn't in love with. He asked a question on advice. Since he didn't indicate that he was only going to do this once, and didn't indicate that he wasn't planning on hedging from the get-go, myself and ranger advised him of the strategy from game 1. The game was over, but he still obviously needed to know because it is a repeatable offense, regardless of how often he does parlays. Even if you only do it once in a blue moon, its a stupid play that long-term (which is why we're all here no?) takes money out of his pocket.

let me turn off the caps lock cuz it really bothers people ..yet noone has given me a logical answer as to why ..ok first of all it was late last night.... second of all this is not a english class eveybody in here mispell's shit and makes grammatical error's were not in college ..well maybe you are...lastly . whats wrong with getting scared after you put in a wager and or changing ur mind? he probably placed his wager and then his favorite capper in here liked the under and he was influenced by someone in here which happens to happen all the time ..which is also why i'm so critical of people who post in here cuz they influence peoples decisions.. but thats another story..so sir cap alot likes the under and now our gambler is leary about his over part of his parlay coming in,but he has won the first leg of it ,so he asks if he should hedge it.. better word would be insure it..that's when dumb daywalker came in and told him play the under for x amount of dollar's which in this circunstance and the way it played out was the right information to give him..as far as wether he's gonna do it in the future or not is relevant as the future is uncertian to all of us but is awsome that the people from covers was here as alway's to point out how stupid it was and not to ever do it in the most degrading way possible. this site was designed to help people make money. i offerrred a simple solution to make that possible and then the insult's and the smartass comments start and all the great don't it in the future crap...none of you guy's saw bambi as a kid ...if you don't have anything good to say ..don't say anything at all.
