With all due respect who exactly is Covers Team? I have always been led to believe that you guys were the IT team that looked into contest glitches, stat mistakes etc,And the occasionally boxing of people by request. Now you come out and have said you are only a group of moderators. What is the full truth, if you will? And who is at fault for this ridiculous avatar fiasco? Who can we email or message to get some insight into this? Neither Rizzo or Lou have made any statements regarding this, and we are led to believe these are the guys in charge of the site. How about a little full disclosure? tell us who is responsible so we can direct our righteous indignation at them. I fully expect to be boxed or banned for this but so be it but I think your users deserve a straightforward answer, don't you?

Covers-team is the costumer service part of the site. We are in constant contact with IT. Any IT complaints/issues are forwarded onto them by us. As for airing your views on the avatar issues. This is as far as you can go.

CountNo_Account what is the big issue/fiasco here?
Covers team have a number of roles but the main being they are here to help Covers Members with any problems they may have. That could be an issue with someone in the forums or helping to get a technical issue resolved. They are here to help make the site run smooth for the users. They are not the IT team but more the middle man between the users and IT. They more ssist the team of moderators but if action needs to be taken, they will do so themselves.

I have no idea why this issue with the avatars is so alarming. There clearly was no control over which images could be used and now you have decided to excercise some control. this is your enterprise, you own it, you answer for it, your advertisers express their opinions and you act accordingly.
no big deal. I would imagine the toughest part will be where to draw the line.

You honestly don't see the way the avatar issue was handled as a fiasco, really? If that is the case there is really nothing else I can say. Thanks for answering the other part of the question in any case.

Thanks archdriver, its nice to hear some rational thinking supporting us for a change. We are trying to balance the needs and desires of our valued customers with our own need to stay afloat and profitable. And without the latter the former is impossible. We do wish this was handled a little better but we learn from our mistakes. In any case, we will have this all sorted out soon and hopefully we can all go back to normal. It has been quite frustrating for us as well as the avatars actually hafve nothing to do with us...we are simply the middle-man between users and our technical department who are working on the software for the approval process. But we are listening to your grievances and rest assured we are pressing that department to try and get things up and running as quickly as possible. But they have protocols they need to follow and certain prcedures to put in place. They have also been forced to rush quickly as we had not intended on removing avatars so soon. Unfortunately, advertisers forced their hand on that one.
We deeply regret the inconvenience but please bear with us and this will all be sorted soon.
